Abstract: A radio node device executes a backhaul connection method. The radio node device receives a radio access network issued configuration message requesting multi-connectivity capability of the relay node device. The radio node device provides two wireless communication channels in parallel as a part of a wireless backhaul channel to a radio access network entity in response to the configuration message. The relay node device serves as an intermediate node in the wireless backhaul channel. The relay node device performs route selection for the wireless backhaul channel based on metrics of relay nodes.

Abstract: A charging device includes a case, a first connector, a first communication device, a processing device, and a driving device. The first communication device is configured to communicate with a second communication device of an electrical device and send a control signal to the processing device after communicating with the second communication device. The processing device is configured to output a driving signal to the driving device after receiving the control signal. The driving device is configured to provide a pushing force to push the first connector to extend from the case to couple to a second connector of the electrical device after receiving the driving signal. The first connector is further configured to charge the electrical device after couple to the second connector. A charging system is also provided.

Abstract: A machine type communication (MTC) gateway device is operable to provide usage type information to a 3GPP network entity and an application out of the 3GPP network. The disclosed MTC gateway device and base station provide an enhanced monitoring response with an enhanced positioning granularity to a position monitoring request. Exposure of usage type and subscription information associated with a user equipment (UE) device is a first step to virtual network function and network slice related provisioning and dedicated core network related provisioning for the UE device. Providing UE usage type through a network exposure function to a third party application enables the third party application to adapt for the usage type.

The apparatus for assembling includes a pushing member fixed to a first component, a latch unit corresponding to the pushing member, the latch unit fixed to a second component. when the first component is not installed to a predetermined position of the second component, the latch unit stays in a locking position to prevent the second component from being installed to a third component; when the first component is installed to the predetermined position of the second component, the latch unit stays in an unlocking position and the second component is released to be installed to the third component. Abstract: A heat exchange system includes a cold source, a heat dissipation apparatus, a water storage tank, a heating portion, and a cooling portion. The heating portion is coupled between the cold source and the water storage tank. The cooling portion is coupled between the heat dissipation apparatus and the water storage tank. The cooling portion transmits heat of the heat dissipation apparatus to water of the water storage tank to cool the heating portion, and the heating portion transmits heat of the water of the water storage tank to the cold source to heat the cold source.

Abstract: A face recognition system for recognizing face in two stages includes a processor and a camera. The camera captures a face image. The processor includes a image locating unit, an image recognition unit, a first feature extraction unit, a second feature extraction unit, and a comparison unit. The image locating unit locates a face in the face image. Facial landmarks are recognized by the image recognition unit and the first feature extraction unit extracts a deep-learning based facial feature. The second feature extraction unit extracts a hand-crafted facial feature. The comparison unit compares the deep-learning based facial feature and the hand-crafted facial feature with a predetermined facial samples library to output a result of facial comparison. A face recognition method is also provided.

Abstract: A network detection method links multiple nodes residing in a network topology to form multiple edges and creates snake paths through the edges using a snake algorithm. The routing frequencies of each of the snake paths is calculated, and software-defined network (SDN) policy flows to each of the nodes are produced and applied. The health and performance status, and available bandwidths, of the snake paths are dynamically detected via packet flows using a pathChirp bandwidth detection method.

Abstract: A relay user equipment (UE) executes a capability discovery method. The relay UE receives a trigger for delivery of a UE capability message. The relay UE reports UE capabilities of the relay UE by transmitting the UE capabilities in the UE capability message in response to the trigger to the request source. The UE capability message may comprise information to address at least network slicing or advanced power saving. For example, the UE capability message may comprise a field for accommodating network controlled power saving capability which reflects whether a power saving state of the relay UE is network controllable.

Abstract: A pedestrian detection system including a camera device and a cloud server. The cloud server includes an entrance node and a compute node unit including a plurality of compute nodes. The entrance node is configured to receive image data from the camera device, to divide the image data into a plurality of subordinate task areas, and to extract a percent of the subordinate task areas. The compute node unit is configured to receive the percent of the subordinate task areas from the entrance node, and processes simultaneously the percent of the subordinate task areas. Therefore, an efficiency of processing image of pedestrian can be improved.

Abstract: A detection system for a baseboard management controller (BMC) provides a motherboard and a BMC. The motherboard sends a detection command to the BMC, the command requiring the BMC to send a response value to the motherboard. A determination unit determines whether the motherboard receives the response value within a preset time. When the motherboard does not receive the response value within the preset time, the determination unit determines that the BMC works abnormally and issues warnings. A detection method is also provided.

Abstract: An uninterruptible electric power system comprises a main power supply unit, an uninterruptible power supply unit receiving AC commercial power from the main power supply unit, and a slave power supply unit. The uninterruptible power supply unit converts the AC commercial power to stable AC power. The slave power supply unit is connected to the uninterruptible power supply unit. The slave power supply unit comprises a slave static transfer switch, which comprises a first input terminal connected to the uninterruptible power supply unit to receive the stable AC power, a second input terminal receiving the AC commercial power, and an output terminal configured to connect, when the uninterruptible power supply unit is in normal operation, to the first input terminal to receive the stable AC power, and connect, when the uninterruptible power supply unit operates abnormally, to the second input terminal to receive the AC commercial power.

The processor is configured to detect period of an input voltage from the first input terminal, and to determine whether the input voltage is normal. A delay time can be computed by the processor, according to the period of the input voltage and a release time of the each delay. If the input voltage from the first input terminal is abnormal, the processor detects a zero voltage crossing signal or a peak of voltage signal, and delays the zero voltage crossover signal or the peak of voltage signal for a delay time, to control the delays coupled to the first input terminal to turn on.

Abstract: A method for identify age based on facial features, includes: getting a face image and capturing a face area from the face image; setting a plurality of facial feature points on the face area; defining a plurality of age feature areas on the face area based on coordinates of the plurality of feature points; acquiring age feature from the plurality of age feature area to get an age value; and comparing the age value with at least one threshold value.
