Abstract: A system for forming a vacuum bag packaging material into a desired shape includes subjecting the exterior of the packaging material to a vacuum to expand the packaging material. The expanded packaging material is then pressed into or against a forming device. Expanding the packaging material renders a filler material inside a sealed packaging membrane free flowing, such that the packaging material can assume the shape of the forming device during the pressing operation. When the vacuum is removed, the membrane recompresses upon the filler material and renders it non-free flowing such that the formed packaging material maintains the formed shape during ordinary handling.

Abstract: A method of remanufacturing a toner cartridge includes installing a modified end cap in which a portion of a drive assembly for an internal toner seal removal mechanism has been disabled. With the modified end cap installed, the toner cartridge may be post tested without removing the internal toner seal. When the post test is complete the modified end cap is removed and a non-modified end cap with a functional drive assembly is installed in its place.

Abstract: A method of remanufacturing a toner cartridge includes obtaining a toner cartridge including a drive transmitting gear supported for rotation by an axle oriented substantially perpendicularly relative to a side surface of the cartridge. The drive transmitting gear includes an overhanging flange portion that faces and is spaced from the side surface of the cartridge to define an open space between the side surface and the overhanging flange portion. A supplemental support member may be positioned into the open space. The supplemental support member is configured to limit movement of the overhanging flange portion toward the side surface.

Abstract: A system and method for applying lubricant to a surface, such as a heating surface of a fuser member. The system includes lubricant conduit for carrying pressurized lubricant toward a spraying assembly. A heating element surrounds the lubricant conduit and heats the pressurized lubricant before it arrives at the spraying assembly. The system also includes a pair of double O-ring sealing assemblies for sealingly coupling a lubricant tube to the system.

Abstract: An imaging cartridge installable in an image forming device. The image forming device includes a rotational driving member and at least one cartridge guide defining a guide path. The cartridge includes a first cartridge portion engageable with the at least one cartridge guide for movement along the guide path and a second cartridge portion coupled to the first cartridge portion. The second cartridge portion includes a drive receiving member configured for engagement with the rotational driving member and at least one of a drum unit assembly, a hopper, a developer roller, and a regulating blade. The second cartridge portion is moveable with respect to the first cartridge portion between a first position, in which the drive receiving member is not engageable with the rotational driving member, and a second position, in which the drive receiving member is engageable with the rotational driving member.

Abstract: A method of modifying a toner hopper including a toner window and an end cap. The method including providing a slot on the end cap and applying a toner seal covering the toner window, the toner seal including a pull tab. The method further including applying an end seal to the toner hopper, the end seal providing a gap and placing the pull tab within the gap and the slot.
