Abstract: A charging system is disclosed for charging a battery system of an electric vehicle. In one form, the charging system includes a first connector including a power control unit that is operable to selectively supply charging power from a power source. A second connector is connected with the first connector and includes a fault detection circuit. A controller is connected with the fault detection circuit and the power control unit. The controller is operable to control the power control unit to selectively supply charging power to a battery system if a fault is not detected from fault detection circuit. A cordset for use with the charging system is also disclosed that allows the cordset to perform certain electrical functions and connect the cordset to a connector of the vehicle in a breakaway manner.
Abstract: A receiver for towing is coupled to a vehicle that includes a frame, a rear axle, and a suspension system that couples the rear axle to the frame. The receiver including a body that defines a cavity sized to receive a towing attachment, and a suspension mount rigidly coupled to the body. At least a portion of the suspension system mounted to and supported by the suspension mount.

Abstract: A pedal assembly is for a vehicle including a motor and a braking mechanism. An actuator pedal is coupled with the vehicle so as to be displaceable between initial and maximum displaced positions and operatively connected with the motor. A brake pedal is coupled with the vehicle so as to be displaceable between initial and park positions and operatively coupled with the braking mechanism to actuate the mechanism in the park position. A brake retainer mechanism includes a coupler connected with the brake pedal and a retainer coupled with the vehicle so as to be angularly displaceable about an axis. The retainer is releasably engageable with the coupler and the actuator pedal to prevent angular displacement of the retainer in a first direction about the retainer axis. As such, the brake pedal is retained at the park position when the coupler and the actuator pedal are engaged with the retainer.

Abstract: A dash assembly for a vehicle having a vehicle body defining an access opening includes a dashboard configured to extend across and generally obstruct the access opening. The dashboard includes a mounting tab configured to engage a portion of the vehicle body adjacent to the access opening. The dash assembly also includes a retainer having an elongated body configured to connect to the vehicle body. The elongated body extends at least partially about a perimeter of the access opening such that the mounting tab of the dashboard is sandwiched between the retainer and the portion of the vehicle body to secure the dashboard to the vehicle body.
