Patents Assigned to Clyde Industries Limited
  • Patent number: 5772135
Abstract: A replaceable jaw face (10a-10d) for a jaw crusher for crushing rocks and the like comprises corrugations (c) the axes of which are inclined to the vertical such that there is a lateral phase shift of the corrugations between the upper and lower end edges (16,18) of the face. This configuration provides interchangeability of the jaw faces throughout the jaws of the crusher while maintaining the correct relationship between the corrugations of the jaw faces of the opposing jaws.

  • Patent number: 4856133
Abstract: A fluid driven assembly for a rotary brush comprising a housing. The housing has a top side and bottom side which converge moving toward an opposite end relative to an inlet end for fluid, thus providing a very low profile assembly, resulting in limited internal cavity space for mounting the fluid driven mechanism. Within the housing cavity is a rotary brush mounting adaptor, with affixed gear teeth, for removably mounting such a rotary brush facing out of an opening in the bottom of the housing and with the adaptor and affixed gear teeth rotating about an axis extending out of the opening. Also in the housing is a waterwheel, with affixed gear teeth, rotating about a second axis displaced toward the inlet end from the first axis. The adapter and waterwheel gear teeth are in driving engagement and water vanes on the waterwheel are axially displaced toward the top side from the adaptor and waterwheel gear teeth.

  • Patent number: 4785850
Abstract: A dispenser connectable to a source of high fluid pressure and including a housing having therein a three-position cylindrical valve which controls both a main passageway and an auxiliary passageway. The main passsageway extends through the housing and the cylindrical valve. The auxiliary passageway extends from the main passageway, through the cylindrical valve, through a passageway between the housing and cylindrical valve, through a fluid reservoir on the bottom side of the housing. The cylindrical valve is manually rotatable by a control knob to an "off" position where the main passageway is closed, to a "soap" position where both the primary and auxiliary passageways are open, dispensing fluid such as soap from the reservoir, and lastly, to a "rinse" position where the primary passageway is open and the auxiliary passageway is closed.

  • Patent number: 4780922
Abstract: A fluid drive assembly for a rotary brush. A fluid inlet and a nozzle are included for dispensing fluid. A waterwheel is mounted for rotation about an axis. A rotary brush rotating means is rotatably driven by the waterwheel. The waterwheel has a series of vanes peripherally disposed around the waterwheel. Each vane has a wall for receiving the dispensed fluid having a pair of unrestricted ends spaced apart in a direction transverse to the direction of rotation and a fluid diverter separates the unrestricted ends diverting the fluid striking the walls simultaneously toward the unrestricted ends.

  • Patent number: 4763373
Abstract: A fluid driven rotary scrub brush having a fluid receiving inlet, a rotatably mounted waterwheel rotated by the received fluid, a rotary brush and a rotatably mounted brush mounting adaptor rotated by the waterwheel. The brush and adaptor comprise interlocking means actuable to a locked condition for locking the brush and adaptor together responsive to movement of the brush toward the adaptor. Means is exposed for user deactuation for removal of the brush from the adaptor.

  • Patent number: 4757565
Abstract: An elongated upper housing portion is selected having top and bottom sides and, displaced towards opposite ends thereof, a substantially circular portion and a fluid inlet throat portion. A fluid driven waterwheel and a brush mounting adaptor are rotatably mounted on the bottom side substantially at the circular portion. The waterwheel and brush mounting adaptor are coupled together in driving relation with the brush adaptor facing away from the bottom side. A plastic lower housing portion is mounted in overlapping and opposed relation to the bottom side of the housing at the inlet throat portion leaving the circular portion exposed. A fluid passage is provided between the upper and lower housing portions for delivery of fluid to the waterwheel. A tubular coupling is passed around the upper and lower housing portions at the inlet throat portion.

  • Patent number: 4720883
Abstract: A fluid cleaning apparatus, including interchangeable fluid driven rotary scrub brush head and high pressure fluid nozzle. The scrub brush head and the nozzle each have an individual fluid inlet for receiving the fluid. A fluid supply tube provides fluid to the apparatus. A fluid passing first swivel part is provided on the fluid supply tube for passing therethrough fluid received from the supply tube. A fluid passing second swivel part is provided for mounting the head for passing received fluid to the fluid input of the head. A fluid passing third swivel part is provided for mounting the nozzle and for passing the received fluid to the fluid inlet of the nozzle. The second and third swivel parts are individually interchangeable and rotatably coupled to the first swivel part for receiving and passing fluid passed by the first swivel part.
