Abstract: The present invention relates to a distributed radio base station, and provides a distributed radio base station, including: one or more base units (BUs) configured to process digital signals; and one or more radio units (RUs) installed in one or more target service areas, and configured to wirelessly communicate with pieces of user equipment; wherein each of the BUs is coupled to a cell group, composed of a set of RU groups each formed by grouping one or more of the RUs, over a transport network.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of HARQ processing for uplink transmission in a distributed radio base station including at least one base unit (BU) configured to process digital signals and one or more radio units (RUs) installed in one or more target service areas and configured to wirelessly communicate with one or more pieces of user equipment (UEs), wherein the BU is coupled to each cell group over a transport network, the method including: a first step of forming, by the BU, radio unit groups by grouping the RUs for the individual pieces of UE; a second step of selecting, by the BU, any one of RUs, belonging a radio unit group for each of the pieces of UE, as an HARQ manager; and a third step of transmitting, by the BU, an HARQ response to the UE via the RU, which is the selected HARQ manager.
