Abstract: Provided is a trigger mechanism having a trigger member is pivotally supported by a housing and having a forwardly extending finger portion and an actuation blade portion and a sear fixed in position relative to each other. A hammer pivotally supported inside the housing has a tooth and a disconnector has hook portion. A safety selector movable between safe and fire positions has a first surface that confronts the finger portion to block pivotal movement of the trigger member when in the safe position and a recess that receives the finger portion and allows movement of the trigger member when in the fire position. When the trigger member is pulled, cycling of the firearm action pivots the hammer to engage the tooth with the hook portion and hold the hammer until the trigger member is released to allow the sear to engage the hammer as the hook releases the tooth.
Abstract: Provided is a trigger mechanism having a housing, a trigger member, a trigger dog, and a striker dog. The trigger member is pivotally mounted in the housing, movable between set and pulled positions. The trigger dog is pivotally mounted in the housing and a first lever arm portion of the trigger dog engages a lever arm portion of the trigger member by a first over-center linkage. The striker dog is pivotally mounted in the housing, movable between set and released positions with a lever arm portion engaged to a second lever arm portion of the trigger dog by a second over-center linkage. The over-center linkages are configured to inhibit rotation of the striker dog from the set position to the released position until the trigger member is manipulated from the set position to the pulled position with a force greater than an engagement threshold of the over-center linkages.
Abstract: Provided is a trigger group module for a firearm that includes a portion defining a trigger group receiving area having laterally spaced apart walls with at least two pairs of laterally opposed openings for receiving assembly pins. The trigger group module includes a module frame sized to be inserted into the trigger group receiving area and has assembly pin receiving openings positioned to align with the laterally opposed openings in the walls of the trigger group receiving area. A hammer member is pivotally supported by the module frame along a first substantially transverse axis. A trigger member is supported by the module frame along a second substantially transverse axis. At least one of the first and second substantially transverse axes is not coaxially aligned with an assembly pin receiving opening.
