Abstract: A reinforced load mounting system that is releasably coupled and decoupled from a portable device with a supporting system having a channel to slidably engage a mounting system. The channel further an overarching wing on both sides of the channel under which an inner mounting plate of the mounting assembly can be constrained in the channel in at least an outward second direction. The mounting assembly further includes an outer mounting plate that overlaps the overarching wings on both sides of the channel. The wings are thus slidably engaged with the mounting assembly but restrained in a wing opening between the inner and outer mounting plates. A large force that would otherwise bend the wing outwardly is countered by a resulting force from the overarching outer mounting plate of the mounting assembly to keep the portable device coupled with the mounting system.
