Patent number: 10392687Abstract: A method for manufacturing a metal assembly including an aluminum sheet and at least one metal sheet. An aluminum sheet is treated by heating to a temperature of between 80% and 100% of the melting temperature of the material of which it is comprised for a sufficiently long duration to create and stabilize an alpha alumina layer at the surface of the aluminum sheet. The sheet is then cooled. A metal sheet having a ductility less than or equal to the ductility of the aluminum sheet after cooling is provided, which has surface irregularities having a depth greater than or equal to the thickness of the alpha alumina layer. The aluminum sheet and the metal sheet are roll bonded in a rolling mill to produce the metal assembly, wherein the rolling mill includes at least one cylinder, the outer rolling surface of which is provided with raised portions.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2011Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignees: Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), CNAM-Conservatoire National Des Arts Et Metiers, Ecole Normale Superieure De CachanInventors: Laurent Prevond, Nicolas Collard, Renaud Caplain, Pierre Francois

Publication number: 20170176697Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing vertical optical coupling structures (1) between first optical or optoelectronic components (2) and second optical or optoelectronic components (3). Said vertical optical coupling structures are made by: (1) depositing a main layer (A) onto a substrate (25) including second optical or optoelectronic components; and (ii) lithography and/or physico-chemical etching of the main layer. Each vertical optical coupling structure is made such as to be located facing and making contact with a second optical component located in the substrate. The unitary main layer comprises generally frusto-conical coupling portions (12) consisting of a material having a refractive index greater than the refractive index of air.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2015Publication date: June 22, 2017Applicants: CNAM - Conservatoire National Des Arts Et Metiers, Chambre de Commerce et D'Industrie de Region Paris Ile de France (ESIEE Paris)Inventors: Jean-Luc Polleux, Carlos Araujo-Viana

Patent number: 6843917Abstract: The invention relates to the separation of lanthanides and actinides by nanofiltration complexation. The object of the invention is to satisfy the existing need for a simple, efficient and economical technique for separating lanthanides and actinides. This object is achieved by a process consisting of using ligands of the polyamino acid type, such as EDTA or DTPA, for complexing lanthanides and/or actinides before separating them by nanofiltration. The invention further relates to novel polyamino acid ligands incorporating ligand structures additional to EDTA and DTPA. Application to the production of rare earths or nuclear waste processing, especially to recycling operations carried out on spent nuclear fuels is also discussed.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2000Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignees: Universite Claude Bernard Lyon 1, CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers)Inventors: Alain Guy, Jacques Foos, Marc Lemaire, Frederic Chitry, Stephane Pellet-Rostaing, Christel Gozzi
