    Abstract: An electrically actuated locking mechanism is disclosed which employs a reciprocating lock bolt actuated by a solenoid in response to a momentary electrical signal. The lock bolt engages a latch means when extended to the locking position, and the latch means may be disengaged to unlock the device by either electrically or mechanically actuated release means.
