Abstract: A pad for disc brakes for railway vehicles includes a base plate, a plurality of friction elements fixed to the base plate, and a plurality of spacers, each of which is mounted between the base plate and a respective friction element. At least one fixing hole is obtained in each one of the spacers, which is engaged by a respective rivet to lock the friction element to the base plate. Each one of the spacers includes a plurality of metal plaques, each having a fixing hole obtained in the plaque. The metal plaques are stacked on top of one another so that the respective fixing holes coincide.

Abstract: A pad for disc brakes for railway vehicles is provided. The pad includes a base plate and friction elements fixed to the plate and arranged in at least two arcuate rows. Each row has friction elements with one same friction surface and a total friction surface ranging from 40% to 80% of the total friction surface of the friction elements of a neighboring external row. Each friction element of at least one neighboring internal row has a friction surface that is less than the friction surface of each friction element of the neighboring external row. The friction elements of each row are arranged on the base plate to act on a surface portion of a brake disc, which partially overlaps surface portions of the disc on which friction elements of a neighboring external row and friction elements of a neighboring internal row act.
Abstract: A railroad and industrial vehicle disk brake pad having a supporting plate and a number of friction members. Each friction member is elongated in shape, with two curved parallel long sides, and is fixed to the supporting plate so that the curves of the long sides form a substantially 0° angle with respective concentric circles of a disk to which the pad fitted. To prevent displacement of the friction members, these are fixed to the supporting plate with the interposition of antirotation means.
Abstract: A disc brake pad (1) comprising a base plate (2), on which elongated elements for supporting friction elements (3) are fixed. The friction elements (3) are mounted, alone or in groups, on the ends of elastic support elements (4), the support elements (4) being cantilevered on the base plate (2) to provide projecting and freely movable ends which support the friction elements (3). The support elements (4) are placed on the base plate (2) with their main longitudinal axis oriented substantially perpendicular with respect to a ray passing through the centre of the brake disc. The disc brake pad centre coincides with rotary axis of the wheel or other rotating element to be braked. The circular portion or band of the element on which each friction element acts is as narrow as possible, thereby minimizing the peripheral speed difference between inner circumference and outer circumference of the annular bands engaged by the friction elements.
