Abstract: A joist pocket assembly and a method for manufacturing a joist pocket assembly is described herein. In some embodiments, the joist pocket assembly can include a frame configured to be mounted within a cut-out in a wall. In some embodiments, the joist pocket assembly can include a base of the frame, where the base can be configured to receive a structural member of a joist. In some embodiments, the joist pocket assembly can include a flange extending from a perimeter of the frame, where the flange can cover a gap between the frame and the wall. In some embodiments, the joist pocket assembly can include a first stud coupled to the base of the frame, where the first stud can secure the frame to the wall. In some embodiments, the joist pocket assembly can be placed in a concrete tilt wall or concrete precast wall.
