  • Patent number: 11426689
Abstract: An improved device for collecting particulate matter suspended in the ambient air is disclosed comprising a container extending between an open first end and a closed second end defining a container interior. A container output communicates with a container interior located proximate the closed second end of the container. A filter cassette comprising a collection filter is permanently affixed to a filter holder. A retainer having a retainer input retains the filter cassette between the retainer input and the container output. An output connector connects the container output to a low pressure source for drawing ambient air into the retainer input for enabling the collection filter to collect particulate matter suspended in the ambient air entering the retainer input. Preferably, the filter holder and the filter are disposable.

  • Patent number: 11136973
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system for retaining tubing used in a peristaltic pump. The apparatus includes tubing retention device usable with a peristaltic pump, the tubing retention device including a movable tubing retainer having a tubing engaging portion capable of engaging with a first surface of a tube and a track portion for movably supporting the tubing retainer. At least one of the movable tubing retainer or the track portion has a surface formed of or at least partially coated with a friction reducing coating. The apparatus further comprises a second tubing engaging portion capable of engaging with a second surface of the tube and a biasing member biasing the movable tubing retainer towards the second tubing engagement portion. Engagement of the tubing retainer and the second tubing engaging portion reduces longitudinal movement of the tube.

  • Patent number: 10957182
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for an environmental monitoring device including at least one environmental sensor configured to periodically measure at least one property of a surrounding environment. Such environmental monitoring device may be associated with other devices or items, such as medical device assets (e.g., products; installations) that may have multiple parameter monitoring needs associated therewith, and such devices may move, for example, with such assets (e.g., during transportation) to enable continuous monitoring and assessment of the associated assets. The environmental monitoring device may be configured to receive a logging interval and an alarm rang, control the at least one environmental sensor to record the measured property according to the logging interval, generate an alarm signal in response to the measured property being outside of the alarm, and send the record of the at least one measured property and any alarm signals to a remote server.

  • Patent number: 10578096
Abstract: A peristaltic pump may include a rotor rotatably mounted on a base and an occlusion bed mounted on the base and moveable toward and away from the rotor. The peristaltic pump may also include a lid hingedly mounted to the base along a first hinge axis including a mounting bracket extending perpendicularly relative to the first hinge axis. A linkage assembly connecting the occlusion bed and the lid may include a pair of curved arms hingedly mounted to the mounting bracket along a second hinge axis parallel to the first hinge axis and a cam connecting the pair of curved arms and having a cam surface facing the mounting bracket, the cam being hingedly mounted to the occlusion bed at an end opposite the second hinge axis. The mounting bracket abuts the cam surface and form a cooperative connection between the lid and the occlusion bed via the linkage assembly.

  • Patent number: 9504784
Abstract: A multi-channel peristaltic pump in which each channel can be operated independently of the others. A peristaltic pump includes a plurality of motors, each of which drives a rotor shaft which is independently rotatable around an axis and which rotates a roller head having a plurality of rollers. The rotor shafts are disposed in a concentric manner. The peristaltic pump further can include a control system allowing an operator to selectively determine the speed and direction of rotation of each of the roller heads of the pump.

  • Patent number: 8052399
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is presented comprising a housing and a rotor assembly supported by the housing. An occlusion bed is slideably mounted in the housing. A door is pivotable about a shaft, which is supported by the housing. A pinion gear is coupled to the shaft and engages a rack on the occlusion bed. Rotation of the shaft causes the occlusion bed to slide toward or away from the rotor assembly. An open portion of a tube retaining system is associated with the housing and a clamping portion of the tube retaining system is associated with the door. The open portion and the clamping portion of the tube retaining system are configured to secure flexible tubing therebetween when the door is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 7478999
Abstract: A peristaltic pump for pumping fluids through a flexible tube has a pump body, a support structure, a tube retaining mechanism and a linkage mechanism. Locating features make sure that the support structure is at a fixed location with respect to the pump body when the pump is in the closed position. The support structure controls movement of the retaining mechanism. The linkage mechanism applies the necessary force to move the support structure so that the pump is moved from an open position to a closed position.

  • Patent number: 6742925
Abstract: The verification of accuracy of an IR thermometer is provided at any temperature in the range of −25° C. to +100° C., preferably at the room temperature. The magnetic surface of a thermo-conductive mat of the present invention is applied to any metallic surface in a room. The user waits to give the contact thermometer arranged on the mat time to reach thermal equilibrium, and then aims the beam of the IR thermometer at the black body target on the mat. The reading of the IR thermometer is then compared with the reading of a contact thermometer, which is attached to the mat adjacent to the black body target. The lightweight, portable, low-cost temperature verification mats of the present invention can be used for verification of IR thermometers in different customer environments, such as in industrial environments, and with retail equipment, or home appliances, including ovens and freezers, etc.

  • Patent number: 6494693
Abstract: An improved peristaltic pump using a pumptube comprising a single tube of a relatively rigid and hard fluoroplastic material, preferably relatively rigid and hard polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and a roller strap located between the pressure rollers of the peristaltic pump and the pumptube, is provided. The roller strap prevents direct contact between the pressure rollers of the peristaltic pump and the pumping section of the pumptube. The pumping section of the pumptube is formed or shaped into a flattened, oval-like shape which approximately conforms to the pumptube passageway in the peristaltic pump. The pressure rollers contact the roller strap and then compress the flattened side of the pumptube and, thereby, effecting transport or pumping of the fluid. The use of the strap prevents excessive tube expansion at the output back-pressure, thereby increasing the lifetime of the pumptube.
