    Abstract: Process of preparation of a bisphenol by the condensation of a phenol carrying a halogen substituent and alkyl groups with an aldehyde in a solvent for the phenol, in the presence of sulphuric acid; the proportion of acid with respect to the phenol is such that after the condensation and absorption by the acid of the water eliminated, the acid contains less than 50% of water by weight.
