Patent number: 10096101Abstract: A method and system for determining if an individual is impaired. In one embodiment, physical and cognitive testing of the individual are conducted in the field or at the scene of an event. The test results are compared to previously stored baseline test results taken for the specific individual while the individual is known to be in an unimpaired state or condition. The current test results are electronically compared to the baseline test results and if the results differ or deviate beyond a predetermined level or amount the individual is considered to be impaired. If no baseline test results exist for the specific individual, the current test results can alternatively be compared to previously determined or known scientifically accepted or minimums for the specific tests given to the individual.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2018Date of Patent: October 9, 2018Assignee: COLLATERAL OPPORTUNITIES, LLCInventor: Michael Kusens

Patent number: 10013831Abstract: A system and method for determining the presence of an individual at a particular spot within a location preferably based on the strength of signals received from beacons assigned to the particular spot by a software application (“App”) running on an electronic device of the individual. In one embodiment, certain presence calculations are performed by the App. In another embodiment, the App forwards information regarding the received beacon signals to an electronic identification and location tracking system and the presence calculations are performed by the system.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2018Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignee: COLLATERAL OPPORTUNITIES, LLCInventors: Bruce Howard Kusens, Michael Kusens

Patent number: 9997001Abstract: A method and system that allows authorized individuals access into controlled access locations and the ability to grant temporary and limited access to guests into these locations. The method and system allows for navigational services to be provided to members and guests, and real-time tracking and confirmation to members and administrators that guests have arrived at their destination and did not enter any unauthorized areas. The method preferably can work through a system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons communicating with member and guest's electronic devices. Members and administrators can send one or more temporary electronic access keys to a guest's smartphone or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons provide an access control and location tracking system with real-time data about the member and guest whereabouts, allowing for the confirmation and tracking.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2017Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignee: COLLATERAL OPPORTUNITIES, LLCInventors: Bruce Howard Kusens, Michael Kusens

Publication number: 20180084390Abstract: A system and method for identifying a customer's location at a business and provide notification to a company representative upon arrival of the customer at the business location. Real-time location determinations for the customer and customer location tracking can be provided. One or more wireless beacons communicate with the customer's electronic device. The beacons provide the system with real-time data about the customer's whereabouts, allowing for the confirmation and tracking of the customer at the location. A first non-limiting example of use, include a company that provides food and beverage allowing the customer to place an order for food and beverages on their electronic device and having the order delivered to the person at their current location as determined by the system. Another non-limiting example includes a company using the notification system to have assigned staff members notified of the customer's arrival.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2017Publication date: March 22, 2018Applicant: COLLATERAL OPPORTUNITIES, LLCInventor: MICHAEL KUSENS

Patent number: 9871780Abstract: A method and system for automatically terminating a logout session for a restricted access system by determining that an authorized user has left the vicinity of the restricted access system. The authorized user preferably carries a wireless transmitter which transmits an authorization signal. When the authorized user leaves the vicinity of the restricted access system after logging in, the signal is no longer received by a wireless receiver or too weak of a signal, such that an access control system in communication with the wireless receiver automatically causes the restricted access system to initiate a logout action in order to prevent or reduce the chance of an unauthorized user gaining access to the restricted access system.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2015Date of Patent: January 16, 2018Assignee: COLLATERAL OPPORTUNITIES, LLCInventor: Bruce Howard Kusens
