Abstract: A method of preparing an adhesive wound dressing, the dressing comprising a central portion and an edge portion, the method comprising the steps of providing a support layer, drawing the support layer into a mold and dispensing a portion of uncured adhesive over the mold, distributing the adhesive in the mold and removing excess adhesive. The adhesive is cured and the support layer is detached from the mold. The central portion is provided with a plurality of through-going holes and an absorbent pad is placed on the non-adhesive side of the central portion and finally a backing layer is laminated to the absorbent pad and the edge portion of the support layer.

Abstract: A dressing product includes a cover sheet, a carrier system, and a dressing sheet. The carrier system includes a periphery that is attached to the cover sheet and a lower portion that extends from the periphery to a protruding portion. The protruding portion of the carrier system is spaced apart from the cover sheet by the lower portion of the carrier system to define a cavity between the cover sheet and the carrier system. The dressing sheet includes a backing layer and an adhesive attached to the backing layer. The dressing sheet is disposed in the cavity and is contained between sidewalls that are defined by the lower portion of the carrier system.

Abstract: A layered adhesive construct is provided having a backing layer, a first layer of a hydrocolloid adhesive, and a second layer of a hydrocolloid adhesive, where the first and second layers of hydrocolloid adhesives have different composition, and the second layer of hydrocolloid adhesive is interposed between the first layer of hydrocolloid adhesive and the backing layer. The first adhesive layer is a layer of moldable adhesive paste including hydrocolloids having a Strain Recovery below 45% and the second adhesive layer is a layer of hydrocolloid adhesive having a Strain Recovery above 55%.

Abstract: A surgical device for anchorage of a prosthetic implant with at least one arm or flexible suspension link in muscle or ligament tissues comprises an elongated body, an anchor head located at one end of the body and provided with means of anchorage in the tissues, and at least one orifice, formed in the elongated body to attach to the at least one arm or flexible suspension link, that is associated with a non-return means adapted to enable adjustment of a useful length of the at least one arm or flexible suspension link and to prevent the at least one arm or flexible suspension link from sliding in a direction opposite its direction of insertion.
