Abstract: A conveyor system for moving flowable bulk material is equipped with a funnel (12) that has a circular funnel inlet (13) formed by a cylindrical wall section (16′) and an orthogonal funnel outlet (14) formed by eight funnel walls (18; 17, 17A; 17′, 17″) connected at one end to the cylindrical wall section (16′) and forming at the opposite end the orthogonal funnel outlet (14). Four walls (17, 17A; 17′, 17″) of the eight funnel walls are flat or plane and form funnel side or lateral walls. The remaining four four walls (18) have a curved cross-section and form funnel corner walls which interconnect the funnel lateral plane walls. The eight funnel walls are substantially longer in the axial direction than the cylindrical wall section (16′). The corner walls (18) and the lateral plane walls have approximately the same axial length (H≈H′). The eight funnel walls cooperate in avoiding clogging of the bulk material as it flows through the funnel.
Abstract: A shut-off device for selectively stopping the flow of conveyed loose bulk materials in a conveyor conduit includes a housing (2) with a flow passage (3) therethrough, and at least one shut-off element (4, 5) movably arranged in the housing. The at least one shut-off element (4, 5) is driven by at least one drive (7, 8) and is arranged in such a manner that it moves between a first open position in which the flow passage (3) is completely open, and a second nearly closed position in which the flow passage (3) is nearly but not completely closed. Namely, a flow gap (6) preferably having a dimension on the order of the particle size of the goods to be conveyed, remains open even when the shut-off element (4, 5) is in its most-closed position. Particles of the conveyed material become caught on or in the gap (6) to effectively close off and stop the flow of conveyed materials.
Abstract: The housing of a waste cutter is divided in a central, vertical plane so that each housing section (23, 24) is tiltable about a respective hinge (26, 27) each preferably having a vertically extending hinging axis (26B, 27B) positioned at a rear bearing shield (10) in which a rear end of a cutting rotor (1) is rotatably mounted. The front end of the cutting rotor (1) is rotatably mounted in a front bearing shield (14). A clamping and locking device (33) pulls the housing sections (23, 24) into a closed position and holds the sections in the closed position. By opening the housing sections the entire interior is easily accessible for maintenance and cleaning work.
