Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a connector body, a plurality of conductive wires connected to the connector body, and a housing enclosing the conductive wires. The housing is fabricated by direct molding on the connector body so that the fabricated housing is directly fixed to the connector body. During molding of the housing in a mold cavity, a plurality of slots arranged in the connector body communicate with the interior of the mold cavity in which a molding compound is introduced to fabricate the housing. The molding compound therefore flows into the slots of the connector body, so that the fabricated housing encloses the conductive wires and is fixedly attached to the connector body by engaging into the slots thereof.

  • Patent number: 6638119
Abstract: Contacts on an integrated circuit chip are arranged at a lower seat of a base on the integrated circuit chip. Each of the contacts includes a main part, two bowed wing parts located at both sides of the main part, two elastic arms extended upward from one end of each wing part, two clamp parts at the upper edge of the elastic arms and a bearing part for adhering a tin ball. A support part extended from the bottom edge of the wing part to support against the bearing part. The above mentioned structure allows the bearing part of the contact to be fixed on the same plane during assembling and leveling, thus preventing any deformation resulting from being pressed for facilitating better adhesion of the tin ball.

  • Patent number: 6638093
Abstract: A reinforced connector on an integrated circuit chip has a stir device with an actuation rod thereof being arranged at least one tooth part to press a resistant part of the meshing recess at the inner side of the upper cover on the connector. Therefore, when the stir device is turned to an upright position, an urging plane of the tooth part can press the resistant part of the groove wall in the meshing groove to move the upper cover toward the base seat for the upper cover being able to pressingly engage with the base seat firmly.

  • Publication number: 20030181103
Abstract: An auxiliary shield for an electric connector is disposed between a support frame on a casing of an electronic apparatus and the electric connector. The support frame is provided with a plurality of pierced openings and fixing holes and the pierced openings are corresponding to contacts of the electronic apparatus with the support frame at an end thereof having a bended joint part for being assembled to the a casing of the electronic apparatus. The shield is provided with a plurality of pierced openings corresponding to the pierced openings on the support frame and at least a plurality of elastic strips extends along a side of each of the pierced openings for being pressed against a metal casing of the electric connector. Hence, the support frame can evenly contact with the electric connector completely such that an external connecting circuit of the electronic apparatus can be hidden effectively.
