    Abstract: Process for forming coal-in-oil fuel mixtures where coal is pulverized in a fluid energy pulverizer by use of a noncombustible carrier gas, with the pulverized coal separated and the spent gas cleaned to remove moisture and residual coal, the cleaned gas compressed, reheated and returned to the pulverizer for re-use as carrier gas therein.
