    Abstract: A mass transit vehicle having a sliding door, the sliding door being mounted at its lower end, by means of a rider, on a linear bearing rod extending outwardly from a bracket mounted on the lower vehicle frame. At its upper end, the door is guided, through a rider, by a linear bearing rod suspended from a bracket which is mounted to the upper vehicle frame.
