    Abstract: A system and method for securing communications between Internet of Things (IoT) devices and user devices. The method includes establishing a connection to an IoT device over a first secured communication channel, wherein the IoT device is communicatively connected to a wireless network using at least login credentials received from a user device over a second communication channel, wherein the user device is communicatively connected to the wireless network; receiving, from the IoT device, a unique identifier of the user device; and associating the user device with the IoT device, wherein only user devices that are associated with the IoT device can control the IoT device.
