  • Patent number: 5484067
Abstract: A slotted display wall provides a modified "T" shaped slot having a throat open to the front face of the panel and a vertically extending opening inwardly spaced from said throat, said opening including opposed angled walls extending in both directions from said throat to end extremities, the angled walls being angled toward the back face of the panel from said throat to the extremities, said opening also including end walls joining the extremities of the angled walls and extending to a rearward face spaced from the back face of the panel. The opening provides a relatively deep dimension adjacent to the throat and increasing material thickness between the angled walls and the front face as the angled walls extend from the throat towards their extremities. This permits conventional cantilever brackets to be installed through the slots and provide upper mounting portions which engage the angled walls at a point substantially spaced from the throat where greater material thickness exists.

  • Patent number: 5138803
Abstract: A display panel assembly having a regular series of undercut slots lined with identical channel inserts that improve the appearance and strength of the panel in the slot areas. The channel insert is capable of being installed in a slot from the face of the panel with a resilient snap fit. This assembly procedure allows the panel to be secured with fasteners in the slots and the fasteners to be concealed by the inserts. Additionally, the inserts can be removed from the slots to allow the fasteners to be exposed and removed for demounting of the panel.

  • Patent number: 5030045
Abstract: A scored wall panel provides shallow grooves to simulate installed wall tile or the like. The shallow grooves are provided with an inner concave wall having a radius of curvature substantially exceeding the thickness of the panel and corners tangentially intersecting the inner wall having a radius of curvature substantially less than the thickness of the panel. The panel thickness varies from one location to another and the grooves are formed so that the variations in thickness of the panel do not cause variations in the width of the grooves. Further, the grooves are sufficiently shallow so that the material of the panel extending past the groove maintains necessary panel strength. The edges of the radiused corners remote from the inner surface of the grooves extend substantially perpendicular to the faces of the panel and are spaced from the rearward face of the panel by a distance substantially equal to the minimum thickness of the panel.

  • Patent number: 4918879
Abstract: A modular merchandising wall panel construction including at least two vertically oriented structural members in edge-to-edge engagement, and means affixing the structural members together and permitting ready disassembly thereof, comprising a vertically oriented standard affixed to the edge of one structural member, the standard being in the form of a channel having flanges extending therefrom, a wall of the channel having slots provided therein, and a plurality of rotary bolt locks mounted in the edge of the other structural member, the rotary bolt lock having an arcuate bolt engaging the slots of the vertical standard, thereby locking the structural members together, and permitting easy disassembly thereof. In one embodiment of the invention some of the structural members comprise pilasters also having rotary bolt locks or vertical standards for assembly with the other structural members.
