    Abstract: A method for determining the degree of polymerization of a polymer is disclosed, the polymer being contained in a sample (2), the method comprising the following steps: a) illuminating the sample (2) using a laser beam (11) and acquiring (100) a Raman spectrum (S) representative of the polymer; b) identifying (110) a peak of interest (Pi) and determining (120) a position (vi) of the peak of interest in the Raman spectrum; c) on the basis of the position of the peak of interest, using a calibration function (ƒ) to determine a degree of polymerization (DP, DE) of the polymer, the calibration function expressing a variation in the position of the peak of interest as a function of the degree of polymerization of the polymer.

    Abstract: A light-emitting device including a light-emitting diode including an n-doped InGaN layer and a p-doped GaN layer, and an active zone including a number m of InGaN-emitting layers each one arranged between two InGaN barrier layers, of which the indium compositions of the emitting layers are different and are greater on the side of the n-doped InGaN layer than on the side of the p-doped GaN layer, and of which the indium compositions of the barrier layers are different and which are greater on the side of the n-doped InGaN layer than on the side of the p-doped GaN layer. An electric power supply supplies the diode with a periodic signal. A controller of the power supply can alter the peak value of the periodic signal according to a spectrum of the light emitted.

    Abstract: A method for developing a prediction device for predicting a phenotype of a person from imaging data of the person is provided. The method includes determining imaging descriptors, the determining imaging descriptors including acquiring multidimensional images of people with an imaging apparatus and extracting multidimensional image elements from the acquired multidimensional images to serve as descriptors The method also includes classifying the predetermined descriptors on the basis of the capability thereof to predict the phenotype, selecting, from among the classified descriptors, a relevant number of the best-classified descriptors that is sufficient to predict the phenotype and constructing the prediction device from the selected descriptors.
