  • Patent number: 8411828
Abstract: Call flow information can build ‘intent’ into call flows having a series of intended steps and one or more alternative steps for selected intended steps. Users can advance in the call flow based on any response other than one or more alternative valid responses for the one intended step that lead in the call flow to one or more alternative steps to the one intended step because every action in the call flow motivates the user to follow the predetermined ordering. A user can proceed from a first intended step in the series of intended steps to a second intended step in the series of intended steps based on a user's response or information known or discovered about the user.

  • Publication number: 20110099588
Abstract: A method for allocating resources to passengers of passenger carrier vehicles is provided where one or more computer systems aboard a passenger carrier vehicle receive a request from a passenger to make use of a resource available to passengers of the passenger carrier vehicle. The request can be made via an entertainment system aboard a passenger carrier vehicle having a graphical user interface displayed at the passenger's assigned passenger location. The one or more computer systems aboard the passenger carrier vehicle can cause a first visual indicator to be displayed to the passenger via the graphical user interface displayed at the user's assigned passenger location acknowledging the request and instructing the passenger to remain in the passenger's assigned passenger location. The one or more computer systems aboard the passenger carrier vehicle can determine placement of the passenger into a queue associate with the resource.

  • Publication number: 20070203735
Abstract: A system for providing transaction-enabled information includes a first application server and at least one second application server. The first application server provides access to plurality of sites. Each of the plurality of sites is associated with at least one transaction grammar. The at least one second application server receives user input. The at least one second application server analyzes the user input to identify a first transaction grammar. The at least one second application server then identifies a task to determine information from one or more of the plurality of sites associated with the first transaction grammar. The at least one second application server performs the task to generate, based on the first transaction grammar, a message indicative of a first transaction based on information received from the one or more of the plurality of sites.

  • Publication number: 20070203736
Abstract: A system for providing interactive directory assistance includes a voice portal, a first set of application servers, and a second set of application servers. The voice portal receives verbal input from a user requesting directory assistance. The first set of application servers provides access to one or more sites. Each of the one or more sites is associated with at least one transaction grammar. The second set of application servers analyzes the verbal input to identify a transaction grammar associated with a site. The second set of application servers determine, from the site, comparison shopping information related to a product or service. The second set of application servers then generates, based on the transaction grammar, a message indicative of a first transaction associated with the product or service in response to the comparison shopping information.

  • Publication number: 20070055577
Abstract: A server operating a website with discrete transactional webpages identifies subject matter for a sales contract between a merchant and an inquiring party. The website is provided with an augment logon procedure for potential inquiring parties, be they offerees or offerors to a contractual relationship. As part of the logon information of the inquiring party, at least one—a preferably a plurality—of direct contact routes from the server to the offeree and/or offeror is solicited. These direct contract routes can included landline, cell phone, pager, or other direct computer to computer communication. The inquiring party initially contacts the server and identifies the subject matter of the proposed contract, for example an airline trip, the sale of an electronics item such as a TV, or a restaurant reservation and at least one other parameter required for the consummation of a contract.
