  • Patent number: 11153092
Abstract: This disclosure describes dynamic access control using capabilities (via dynamic access control interface (150)) on a blockchain system (180). The blockchain data structure is a time-stamped list of blocks, chained together cryptographically. In this disclosure, capabilities can be recorded on a blockchain system (via capabilities storage (170)) and thus access propagation is known. This makes revocation of access achievable by recording a new transaction, which in effect removes the previous authorization. There will be no change to transaction history and instead a new transaction records (170) the current status of the capability. An example implementation on a blockchain system (180) is given in Ethereum, which allows programs called “smart contracts” to run as transactions.

  • Patent number: 11145802
Abstract: This disclosure relates to fabrication of step edges to fabricate Josephson junctions. A method comprises forming a layer of resist over the surface. The layer of resist comprises openings to expose a selected area of the surface, thereby forming two walls in the layer of resist on a perimeter of the selected area. The resist and the substrate are exposed to an ion beam, thereby etching the resist and the exposed areas of the surface. While exposing the resist and the substrate to the ion beam, the substrate is gradually rotated about an axis normal to the surface to thereby form two step edges at the respective two walls. Further, superconducting material is deposited onto the substrate in a meandering shape to form a path that crosses the two step edges multiple times and to form a Josephson junction each time the path crosses the step edges.

  • Publication number: 20210292891
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for the production of high quality graphene. In particular, the invention relates to single-step thermal methods which can be carried out in an ambient-air or vacuum environment using renewable biomass as a carbon source. Specifically, the invention comprises heating a metal substrate and carbon source in a sealed ambient environment to a temperature which produces carbon vapour from the carbon source such that the vapour comes into contact with the metal substrate, maintaining the temperature for a time sufficient to form a graphene lattice and then cooling the substrate at a controlled rate to form a deposited graphene.

  • Patent number: 11116182
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for monitoring pasture intake by a grazing animal species. The system comprises a sensor spatially associated with a body part of the animal to generate movement data indicative of movement of the body part of the animal associated with multiple points in time and a processing server. The processing server comprises a data interface to receive the movement data and a processor that is configured to evaluate the received movement data to determine for each of the multiple points in time an indication of a behaviour of the animal at that point in time. Based on the indication the processor determines a time value indicative of a time the behaviour was shown by the animal, and determines a pasture intake value based on the time value.
