Patents Assigned to Compagnie de Materiel et D'Equipements Techniques
  • Patent number: 6530364
Abstract: The invention concerns a ventilating device for a motor vehicle fuel tank wherein a valve (12) is equipped with a ball (20) arranged in a chamber (14) wherein emerges an intake orifice (16) which opens into the center of a lower wall (19) concave upper surface (22) of the chamber (19), the ball (20) being supported on the concave upper surface (22). The invention is characterised in that the slope, relative to the horizontal, of the concave upper surface (22) decreases in the direction radially away from the axis (A1).

  • Patent number: 6450192
Abstract: A device for ventilating a motor vehicle fuel tank comprises a chamber (24) communicating with the tank and, through a top outlet (30), with a discharge duct (28). The device further comprises, inside the chamber (24), a float (32) controlling a needle valve (40) for closing the top outlet (30) when the fuel level exceeds a predetermined threshold in the chamber (24). The device also comprises, between the tank and the float (32), flow restricting elements (66,68) for limiting the fuel displacement speed before it comes into contact with the float (32).

  • Patent number: 6289916
Abstract: The invention concerns a ventilating device for a motor vehicle fuel tank, wherein a valve (12) is provided with a counter-weight (22) which, when the vehicle is not running in a substantially horizontal position, causes the valve (12) to be closed, and which, when the vehicle is running, causes the valve (12) to open. The invention is characterised in that the counter-weight (22) is supported on the upper concave surface (24) of a spring retainer (20) whereof one lower surface comprises means for closing the valve (12), and when the counter-weight (22) is spaced from its stable equilibrium position by vibrations, it makes the spring retainer (20) tilt so as to cause the valve (12) to be opened.

  • Patent number: 4923347
Abstract: An anchor nut-cage fixing system is provided for positioning on a metal sheet from one of the faces of this metal sheet with a view to receiving bolts presented from this same face and comprising: a nut (1) with wings adapted for cooperating with an elongate hole (3) formed in the metal sheet (4); a plastic material cage (5) split by windows (6) and connected to an external collar (7). This collar is covered by a flat metal cap (9) perforated so as to let the bolts pass therethrough and having axially bent flanges (12) whose axial height is equal to or slightly less than the thickness of the collar, one at least of these flanges being bent to a little more than 90.degree. so as to imprison the collar.

  • Patent number: 4531870
Abstract: There is provided a means for fixing an object to a blind metal sheet (1) by fitting into a square hole (2) provided in this metal sheet, a cage (3) containing a threaded part (7), then by causing a complementary threaded part to coact with this part. The hole is square, the cage has the shape of an octagonal prism provided laterally with four longitudinal windows (8) and the threaded part comprises four radial tabs (9) adapted to slide jointingly in said windows (8), means being provided, such as thinned-down portions (12), for making possible a rotation through 45.degree. of said part (7) after its axial introduction with the cage into said hole (2).

  • Patent number: 4250732
Abstract: The invention concerns metal cages for set screw--cage systems intended to be mounted on a metal sheet accessible from only one of its faces. According to one aspect of the invention, the sidewalls 4 of the cage 3 of such a system are provided with an annular rib 16 projecting radially outwards, the external diameter of cage 3 at the rib 16 being slightly greater than the diameter of the hole 12 in which the cage is engaged, owing to which the cage is axially locked on the metal sheet. Dies are provided for the shaping of cage members. The invention finds application particularly in the fitting out of the bodies of vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4208944
Abstract: To fasten by screwing an object on to a metal plate 9 drilled with a noncircular hole 12, recourse is had to a clip made from a moulded plastic material comprising a socket 1 adapted to receive a screw and extended by a flange 5. In the wall of the socket there are provided two grooves 10 in the form of a U each surrounding a thickened portion 7, said portion being connected to the inner edge of the flange by a bridge 11 and nipping, during screwing of the screw into the socket, the edge of the metal plate by bending around this bridge.
