  • Patent number: 6945829
Abstract: A self-locking screw connection includes a cylindrical thread section (130) and a nut (300) that can be snapped onto the cylindrical thread section (130). The nut (300) has a thread that is divided into several thread segments (322), and the cylindrical thread section (130) has a plurality of threadless chambers (134) that are spaced from one another along the circumference of the cylindrical thread section (130). The threadless chambers allow immersion of one of the thread segments into one of the threadless chambers for providing a self-locking effect.

  • Patent number: 4666325
Abstract: A connector has juxtaposed modular blocks bearing either sockets or pins. The modules are removably mounted, side-by-side, in adjoining recesses of a generally flat, rectangular housing. The adjoining recesses are provided with a number of notches which are initially closed off during manfacturing. The insertable modules are provided with one or more protruding tabs which cooperatively fit into the corresponding notches in the housing, provided that the notches have been selectively opened in order to receive the tabs of the particular module. Furthermore, the mating connector portions may similarly be provided with corresponding tabs and notches, the latter being initially closed during manufacture and later selectively opened to receive a particular connector having certain tabs thereon.

  • Patent number: 4090761
Abstract: An electrical connector having first and second interfitting sections, a locking member movable with respect to said sections and having two stable positions one for locking the two sections together and the other for unlocking the two sections. An electric contact is carried by one of said sections to provide an indication of the locked or unlocked status of the connector which is closed by said locking member as it reaches the locking position and opened as it reaches the unlocked positon.

  • Patent number: 3964771
Abstract: A push -- pull connector including a sleeve lockable to a spigot by locking balls controlled by a sliding member mounted on the sleeve, wherein the sliding member has a stable locked position and a stable unlocked position, with no intermediate stable position. The stable positions are determined by a resilient ring mounted in a groove on the sleeve and not by any spring action on the balls. The arrangement may be such that the force necessary to move the sliding member from unlocked to locked position is just greater than the force necessary to effect full engagement of the spigot and the sleeve.
