  • Patent number: 7247331
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for isolating milk proteins from milk or from whey comprising steps which consist in passing the milk or whey over a cation-ex-changing resin, eluting the fraction retained by an aqueous salted solution and desalting and sterilizing the eluate. The invention also concerns a milk protein fraction obtained by said method and its use for preparing pharmaceutical and food compositions.

  • Patent number: 7083816
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for preparing modified whey comprising steps which consists in: a) lactose removal, b) hydrolysis, c) pre-treatment of calcium trap proteins, d) hydrolysis of the pre-treated proteins and e) enzyme inactivation. The hydrolysis process is carried out in the presence of at least an endopeptidase and of at least an exopeptidase. The invention also concerns whey obtainable by said preparation method characterised in that it comprises a lactose content between 10 and 50 wt. % of the weight initially present and an amount of total proteins representing not more than 80 wt. % of the weight of proteins initially present. The invention further concerns the use of said modified whey as bread-making enhancing agent and products containing same.

  • Patent number: 6041570
Abstract: The invention relates to a palletising method with compressive strength reinforcement. The method includes the steps of stacking packages (20) comprising one or more holes (22) passing vertically through each of said packages (20) so as to form a lower package assembly (20a) and such that the holes (22) are aligned and that the height of said lower assembly (20a) is equal to that of compressive strength reinforcement posts (30), inserting at least three posts (30) in holes (22) of the lower assembly so that the posts (30) extend vertically, placing an intermediate plate (40) such that it rests on the upper end of the posts (30) and stacking an upper package assembly (20b) on said plate (40). The invention is useful for transporting and handling fresh produce.

  • Patent number: 5407075
Abstract: The invention relates to a pack for food, in particular cheese. The pack is obtained by folding and gluing a single blank, e.g. made of card. The blank comprises a wedge-shaped base zone which has two transverse cuts formed therein and which is connected to two rectangular lateral zones via respective first score lines. The ends of the cuts extend into the lateral zones and are interconnected within the lateral zones by respective second score lines. The zone between the two cut lines constitutes a strip that lies on top of the cheese once it has been inserted into the pack.
