Abstract: A process for the construction of a drain system, wherein a catchment body and at least one interconnected suction body are laid into the soil to be dewatered. Starting from a working pit (3) or bank, a nearly horizontal hole (9) is drilled for the catchment body (B), furthermore a hole (8) or shaft (18) preferably reaching the vicinity of an impermeable clay layer (2) is made from the ground surface for the suction body (A) transversely to and in communication with the hole (9) of the catchment body (B).
