  • Patent number: 9736800
Abstract: A method is provided for detection and synchronization for a multistation wireless communication system (WiFi) implementing a layer, termed the MAC or Medium Access Control layer, provided for implementing a multiple access protocol and a physical layer, termed the PHY or Physical Layer, provided for achieving synchronization and detection functions, the MAC layer transmitting commands to the PHY layer so as to carry out the multiple access protocol and the PHY layer generating in response at least one waveform carrying synchronization signals and detection signals, the MAC layer implements an orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal cyclic signal to construct the at least one waveform.

  • Patent number: 8194763
Abstract: A method is provided for decoding spatiotemporal codes, in particular Golden type code. The received vector is subjected to a MMSE-GDFE filtering, a constellation re-centering to define a Z-matrix, a permutation to obtain X-shaped matrices, a trellis base reduction and a ZF-DFE algorithm by processing the elements of the Z-matrix layer by layer. Each layer includes both elements of the diagonal or anti-diagonal of the Z-matrix.

  • Patent number: 7796701
Abstract: A digital decoder for a transmitting and receiving-multi-antenna digital wireless transmission chain for determining symbols transmitted in linear space-time coded transmission signals based on a convolutional binary coding, the digital decoder being fed by: —a received symbols signal vector Z, and a matrix C resulting from the product of a transmission channel matrix H and a space-time coding matrix M for the transmission including: a comprehensive space-time decoder for calculating the metric between each possible codeword and the received symbols signal vector Z, and for generating as output all the metrics thus calculated; and a binary decoder for determining, by using all the metrics generated as probabilities of transitions between states of the binary decoder, the most probable path taken during the convolutional coding, and for deducing from these the symbols transmitted.

  • Patent number: 7680204
Abstract: A method is provided for convolutive coding for the transmission of space-time block codes according to the technique termed Golden Code, in a wireless communication network comprising at least a plurality of transmit antennas. The Golden Code coding is associated with a trellis coded modulation, and the necessary partitioning to the trellis is produced such that, for each partitioning step, a set ?? is multiplied by at least one element ? from the set Bk (k>1) of elements of Az such that: Bk={X?Az and |Det(X)|2=2k}, the set ??, termed “infinite Golden Code”, being a principal ideal of the ring Az as defined by the Golden Code technique.

  • Patent number: 7330519
Abstract: An iterative method and a decoder for decoding space-time codes in a communication system with multiple transmission and reception antennae, strikes a compromise between techniques based on interference cancellation algorithms such as BLAST, which show faulty performance concerning error rate based on signal-to-noise ratio and techniques based on maximum likelihood algorithms which are optimal in terms of performance, but highly complex in implantation such as the sphere decoder. Therefor the method includes using a first matrix product between the received signal (Y) and a shaping matrix (Bl), and a second matrix product between a subtraction matrix (Dl) and the vector of the estimated symbols (S1?l) during the preceding iteration. The estimated symbols during the current iteration are generated by a subtractor (9) receiving the results (rl,zl) of the two matrix products. The role of the matrix Dl is to subtract from the current information symbol Sl the interference caused by the other information symbols.
