Abstract: There are disclosed systems and methods for calculating the “social score” of users of social websites to determine who the “social leaders” are. The activities of users of social websites are monitored and activities weighted. The combined scores for the user's activities provide an absolute score for the particular user. The absolute score from a single social website, or combined absolute scores from a plurality of social websites, can be used. In either instance, the absolute score obtained of a user is compared to the absolute scores of other users and a relative score is obtained. The relative score provides a ranking of each user as compared to the rest of the user population. In this manner, social leaders, e.g., the top ten percent in relative score can be identified. Social leaders are of interest to various entities to provide targets for advertising, product test marketing, and the like.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods that gather information in levels of various categories about the “likes” of a user of a social site and, by assigning a weight factor to each level of category of “likes”, a “match” score for the user is calculated. The calculation of “match” scores can be performed for a plurality of users to obtain a set of users who are potential customers of a marketing campaign. The set of users whose “likes” are evaluated can be compared to the “target” of an advertising campaign to generate potential customers for that campaign; this serves to improve the conversion rate for the advertising campaign. Alternatively, the “like” profiles can be used to analyze the advertising campaign portfolio of an entity and provide recommendations as to those advertising campaigns likely to be of interest to a particular set of users, based on calculated “like” profiles.

Abstract: An identification manager provides a user-generated identity of an initiating party during a connection to a destination. The identification manager includes an identity store for storing user-generated identities, and an identity provider associated with the identity store, for retrieving, from the identity store, a user-generated identity of the initiating party, and for providing the retrieved identity to the destination. Prior to delivery of the retrieved identity to the destination, the identity provider may sense connection characteristics, such as the network type and terminal capabilities of the destination party, and adapt the initiating party's identity to the sensed characteristics. The identification manager may also include a provisioning system for users to generate multimedia identities by various mechanisms. Identity provisioning may be performed automatically, as user replies to system initiated IVR calls, MMS messages and/or SMS messages.

Abstract: In a method and system for generating a referencing secondary electronic mail message from a primary electronic mail message, a reference to accompanying data in the primary electronic mail message is obtained that allows reconstitution of the accompanying data from the reference. The referencing secondary electronic mail message is composed with the reference embedded therein instead of the accompanying data. Conversely, a non-referencing electronic mail message is reconstituted from a referencing electronic mail message that includes at least one reference indicative of respective accompanying data by accessing a copy of the respective accompanying data pertaining to each reference in the referencing electronic mail message. The referencing electronic mail message is augmented with the respective copy of the accompanying data relating to each reference.

Abstract: A system for providing multimedia ring back for a voice-call. The system may include an MMRB for VC control module and a network access module operatively connected to the MMRB for VC control module. The network access module is adapted to interface the MMRB for VC control module with external network components. The MMRB for VC control module is responsive to an indication that a caller is inviting a callee to join the voice-call with the caller and wherein the caller and/or the callee is subscribed to an MMRB for VC service for invoking an MMRB for VC service.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for creating a personalized phone bill populated with names from a subscriber's personal address book on the subscriber's device. A billing application receives a request to generate a phone bill for a subscriber, and obtains usage data for that subscriber's device. In one embodiment, the billing application then sends a request to a translation server to search a network address book, which is synchronized with the personal address book on a subscriber's device, to match the usage data with the names from the network address book. The matched names are then transmitted from the translation server to the billing application, where the billing application includes the matched names in a usage section of the bill, thereby generating a personalized phone bill that a subscriber can more easily review and understand.

Abstract: A system for recovering an unintentionally interrupted call in a telephony network includes an interrupted call data capturer and a re-connector. The interrupted call data capturer is deployable in the telephony network and configured to capture data pertaining to an interruption of the call from the telephony network. The re-connector is associated with the interrupted call data capturer and configured to use the captured data to automatically reconnect at least one unintentionally disconnected participant of the call, thereby recovering the unintentionally interrupted call.

Abstract: A communication system converting multimedia data of enhanced services into video stream for transmission to a user's handset communication device. The system includes a database storing therein users profile data; a mailbox system storing therein users mailboxes and capable of storing messages in audio and video formats; an application server managing data storage and retrieval from the database and storage; a multimedia to video converter, receiving multimedia data and converting it into a video streams corresponding to a pre-selected template; an access server providing the multimedia data to the multimedia to video converter and receiving therefrom the video stream, and transmitting the video stream onto a telecommunication network.

Abstract: A content consumption session completion system and method useful in conjunction therewith, the system comprising an apparatus for detecting uncompleted content consumption sessions by monitoring consumption of data services by a user and logging information regarding at least one uncompleted content consumption session between at least one user and at least one data service. Abstract: A network-based method for secure messaging is performed by: receiving a message sent by a sender to a recipient with a store-and-forward protocol, at a network location. The received message is decrypted at the network location with the sender's encryption key. Then the decrypted message is encrypted at the network location with the recipient's encryption key, and forwarded from the network location for delivery to the recipient.

Abstract: A method for initiating a session in a store and forward messaging system, such as a voice/video call answering (VCA) system, is provided. A data storage device stores capability information for subscribers of the messaging system, the capability information including data such as video codecs and audio codecs supported by the subscriber's device. When a session initiation request is received from a guest of the messaging system, the capability information of the device used by the guest is compared to the stored capability information of the device used by the subscriber for whom the guest wishes to deposit a message. If the capability information matches, the system presents to the guest only the matching capability information. The session continues using the matching capability information, thereby eliminating the need to transcode data when the message is retrieved by the subscriber.

Abstract: Provided is a method for exchanging information, the method including: receiving content destined to a virtual representation of a recipient; sending the content to a recipient communication device that is being utilized by the recipient for non-virtual communication by utilizing an association between a virtual representation of the recipient and an identity of the recipient while concealing the association. Also provided is a method for participating in a virtual environment, the method including: receiving instructions from a limited device not capable of interfacing with the virtual environment; converting the instructions to a virtual environment-compliant format; sending the converted instructions to a virtual environment computer; receiving content from the virtual environment; converting the content to a limited device-compliant content; and sending the converted content to the limited device.

Abstract: A system for providing voucher dispensing and redeeming using current mobile communications hardware and infrastructure. The system enables the creation, reception and usage of voice vouchers, wherein digital vouchers are embodied as attachments within voicemail messages. In this way, the system enables the transfer and interaction with online vouchers using existing voicemail systems, such that the content and authentication data of a voucher may be received and redeemed using a standard mobile communications device. Furthermore the voucher may be verified and controlled by a voucher vendor, by using a specialized voucher server.
