  • Patent number: 5038606
Abstract: To permit easy reading of the rainfall at a distance, an intercepting means on a rain gauge intercepts rain falling through a larger area than the upper surface area of the rain water within the container of the rain gauge. A colored float points to rainfall markers on an expanded scale along the container so that if rain is indicated in inches, the indicia means has its inch marks spaced vertically to correlate with the float at distances larger than inches.

  • Patent number: 4410214
Abstract: A leisure chair comprising a knockdown frame having a plurality of component parts, each being substantially planar for compactness. These parts include a pair of separate generally U-shaped frame portions, and a pair of generally L-shaped connectors for interconnecting the ends of the frame portions to form a rigid frame of generally L-shape as viewed from the side. The chair also includes a removable cover which fits over the frame when the component parts of the frame are in assembly, and a cushion swingable relative to the frame about an axis extending transversely of the frame at the connectors. The chair may be used in two different positions on the floor, one in which the cover functions as a backrest and the cushion as a seat, and the other in which the cover presents a reclining surface and the cushion provides a headrest to one reclining on the surface.

  • Patent number: 4358124
Abstract: A utility cart comprising an upwardly extending frame, a pair of wheels journalled on the lower end of the frame at opposite sides of the frame, and a bed pivoted at one of its ends on the frame at the lower end of the frame for swinging about an axis extending from side-to-side of the frame between an extended position in which the bed extends generally perpendicularly forwardly from the frame and an upright position in which the bed extends upwardly alongside the frame. The bed has a support at one end extending forwardly from the bed when the bed is in its upright position for supporting an object to be carried on the cart. Legs are mounted at the other end of the bed for movement between a first position for supporting the bed when in its extended position, and a second folded position. The legs can be locked in their bed-supporting position.

  • Patent number: 4208070
Abstract: A leisure chair comprising a generally rectangular frame bent on a line extending transversely of the frame so as to be generally L-shaped as viewed from the side with support and backrest frame portions. The chair also includes a cover for the frame extending between opposite sides of the backrest frame portion, and a cushion swingable relative to the frame about the bend line of the frame. The chair may be used in two different positions on the floor, one in which the cover functions as a backrest and the cushion as a seat, and the other in which the cover presents a reclining surface and the cushion provides a headrest to one reclining on the surface.
