    Abstract: A method in dry shake coating of a concrete floor is provided. On top of the concrete floor two or more superimposed dry shake material layers are applied. The surface of an underlying dry shake layer is troweled prior to application of a next dry shake layer, whereafter the lastly processed dry shake layer of a concrete floor is troweled. The application of an underlying dry shake layer is followed by spreading over its surface a water soluble silica-based medium prior to and/or during the course of troweling this particular dry shake layer and prior to the application of an overlying dry shake layer.

    Abstract: A method for a mechanical treatment of a concrete floor, such as troweling and blade finishing, using a hand-operated, a walk-behind or a ride-on actuator, such as a concrete power trowel machine, a floor treatment machine or the like, is described. The actuator has one or more operating heads comprising a rotor consisting of two or more attachment arms. The floor surface is treated by means of concrete troweling elements, such as circular trowel pans or elongated trowel blades attached to the rotor attachment arms, made substantially of plastic material, that are detachably coupled to the rotor of the actuator, in particular to prevent discoloration of the treated floor surface during treatment. Before the concrete floor is troweled with plastic-based concrete troweling elements, a water-soluble silica-based medium is applied on it.

    Abstract: A method and an arrangement used in floor surface treatment. Especially the finishing of a concrete, epoxy, dry shake floor or the like is conducted by using a trowel tool fabricated from a substantially plastic-based material and removably connectable to the operating head of a concrete trowel machine, the purpose being to prevent discoloration of a presently treated floor surface while finishing the same.
