Abstract: A method and an arrangement for inspecting a means of transportation and/or cargo. Furthermore, the application relates to software and an apparatus for inspecting a transport unit and/or cargo. In a method according to an embodiment for inspecting cargo during handling, loading or unloading, the cargo is inspected when cargo units are being handled, loaded into a transport unit or unloaded from a transport unit. The cargo is inspected with aid of image data produced on the cargo and the transport unit. The cargo is inspected with aid of vibration data produced on the cargo and the transport unit. The image data and vibration data are analyzed, and on the basis of the analysis, real-time information and feedback is produced.

The arrangement is also directed to software and a device for carrying out the inspecting wherein the method for inspecting includes receiving image data on a container, verifying the location and/or position data of the image data in relation to the container, analyzing the received image data, and detecting possible damage points.
Abstract: A container security system is disclosed that includes force sensors and acceleration sensors attached to a lifting beam of a container handling device or to another part of a frame of the container handling device. The container security system also includes an electronics unit and an oscillation device attached to the lifting beam of the container handling device or to another part of the frame of the container handling device. The oscillation device creates oscillation of a container and contents of the container, and the container security system recognizes (i) a change in a condition of the container or the container contents as well as (ii) a change in an amount of the container contents between different container handling stages.
