Patent number: 8202018Abstract: A blow-molded plastic female interconnection system has a receiving section and a locking section. The receiving section receives a male interconnect. The receiving section has a floor aperture shaped to allow the corresponding male interconnect be pushed into the locking section. The floor aperture can have various shapes depending on the shape of the male interconnect. Within the receiving section is a locking projection on the receiving section's back wall and the locking projection has a bottom section that defines a portion of the ceiling of the locking section which has no back wall. When the male interconnect is being pushed into the locking section, the locking projection deforms due to the locking sections no back wall. When the male interconnect is below the locking projection, the locking projection bottom section is positioned on the male interconnect to securely interconnect the male and female units.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2008Date of Patent: June 19, 2012Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: Daid J. Patent number: 7578632Abstract: A first plastic component and a second plastic component are joined together by an expansive joint system on the first plastic component and a driving joint system on the second plastic component. The expansive joint system has two expansive units while the driving joint system has corresponding driving units. When the driving units simultaneously expand the respective expansive units to a predetermined point, the expansive units contract to their original position and securely lock onto portions of the second plastic component.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2007Date of Patent: August 25, 2009Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: David J. Patent number: 7526841Abstract: A device and method for forming an indented female connector where the dimension of the indented female connector provides for removing a male molding component without damaging a set of internal ribs formed inside the female connector. A structure comprising an indented female blow-molded connector having a first wall having a top surface and a thickness, with the first wall surrounding an opening. At least one inner wall extends substantially perpendicular to the first wall and borders the opening. At least one rib is formed in the inner wall. A bottom wall is joined to the inner wall and the distance from the rib to the top surface is greater than the thickness of the first wall. The structure further comprising a male connector having a contact edge that, when positioned inside the indented female blow-molded connector, engage the at least one rib, such that the male connector and indented female blow-molded connector are releaseably joinable with one another.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2007Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: David J. Patent number: 6190600Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus that forms a polymeric structure. The apparatus has a mold plate, a circular trench, a male and female interconnect, a vertical gap filler, and a cylinder. The mold plate has a predetermined geometric design. The circular trench is in the mold plate and the difference between the outer diameter and the inner diameter of the circular trench is a distance D. The male interconnect and the female interconnect are interspaced between each other. Each interconnect rotates within the circular trench and has a base and an interconnection portion. Each base has a width D and slidably mates to the mold plate. Each interconnect portion has a minimum width W which is less than D. The male interconnect portion protrudes downwards relatively from its base to a distance P, likewise the female interconnect portion protrudes upwards relatively from its base to a distance P. The vertical gap filler aligns with the circular trench and has a foundation and an extension.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1999Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: David J. Patent number: 6102156Abstract: A gate hingedly connected to a staircase. The gate hinge is blow-molded integrally with the gate body. A mounting post has on one portion a hinge pin for receiving the gate hinge, and the other portion has a pair of parallel resilient sheets for receiving an edge portion of the staircase. Two staircases are attached back-to-back by vertical flanges each of which is offset from a vertical center plane of the respective back wall portion and has a vertical surface which is co-planar with the vertical center plane. The corners of the staircase are individually height adjustable by internally threaded portions which receive threaded rods. The internal threads are formed as part of the blow-molding process. A hole to the interior of the staircase or other article is formed as part of the blow-molding process.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 1998Date of Patent: August 15, 2000Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: David J. Patent number: 5244291Abstract: A pair of structural members are releasably attached by providing an interlocking attachment of a boss on one member with a cavity in another member so that respective walls of the boss and cavity engage each other whereby a space is left between respectively opposed walls of the boss and cavity. A spacer is provided in the space between the opposed walls to maintain the interlocking attachment of the boss in the cavity. The spacer is maintained in position to prevent its inadvertent removal from the case by a detent which engages an indentation.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1991Date of Patent: September 14, 1993Assignee: Confer Plastics Inc.Inventor: Raymond C. Patent number: 4023647Abstract: A freestanding ladder structure has a first base member arranged on one side of an object to be bridged, a second base member arranged on the other side of the object, and a raised platform supported above the object by two ladder members having their lower end portions engaged with the base members. The various parts and components of the ladder structure are hollow or tubular and may be conveniently formed of plastic by a well known blow molding technique. Where necessary, a reinforcing insert is arranged within a component to resist flexure or bending thereof. Some components are provided with hook members engagable with other components to prevent unintended separation of the assembled components.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1975Date of Patent: May 17, 1977Assignee: Confer Plastics, Inc.Inventor: Raymond C.
