    Abstract: A shrink wrap packaging system has an ultrasonic side sealer. The ultrasonic side sealer contemporaneously slits and welds together at least two separate layers of shrink wrap film. The ultrasonic side sealer is useful in in-line shrink wrap packaging equipment in which a continuous side seal or weld is required to wrap shrink wrap completely around one or more packaged items.
