Abstract: Combination of a locking lever and a connector of the type utilizing a female housing member and a male housing member, wherein one of the male and female housing members includes studs arranged on two opposite walls, and wherein the locking lever is a U-shaped member that has two flanges and a holding strip portion. The U-shaped member is mounted in an articulated manner on two corresponding walls of another of the male and female housing members. Each of the two flanges has a cam adapted to cooperate with one of the studs. The locking lever is movable at least between a rest position and a locking position. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Abstract: A female electrical contact member has a body extended by a bush open at its free end for insertion of a male member and a male-member-receiving member comprises a ring extended by elastic tongues which grip the male member. The ring is mounted to slide and float in the bush and is connected to the body by a flexible electrical connection. Sliding of the ring in the bush is restricted. The flexible electrical connection forms a loop at a point part way along its length.
Abstract: An electrical connector housing element has a locking key inserted in a passage parallel to and between channels in the housing element. The housing element has elastic tongues projecting into the conduit and the locking key terminates in a protuberance which, in a locking position, pushes the tongues through corresponding slots into the channels so that they project into the channels at the rear end of the electrical contact members.

It is completed by an outer sleeve having a bush inserted in and fixed to the cylindrical ring and a sleeve with cut-out elastic tongues which cooperate with the elastic lugs to strengthen their action. The outer sleeve has retaining members which cooperate with a shoulder in a passage of a connector housing member and receive the female member. The part of the body including the elastic lugs has a diameter less than that of the ring, the two parts being joined by a shoulder. The diameter of the sleeve of the outer sleeve is smaller than that of the bush, the two parts being joined by a shoulder.

Abstract: A system is provided for polarizing electrical connectors of generally parallelepipedal shape and of the type having a male housing part adapted to be inserted in a skirt of a female housing part, one of these parts having along one wall at least one longitudinal tongue and the other of these parts having at least one corresponding groove which receives the tongue when the male housing part is fitted into the skirt of the female housing part. The free end of the tongue terminates in a bevel, the free edge of the skirt terminates in a corresponding bevel and the bevels on the tongue and on the free edge of the skirt are oriented so that, if the male housing part is not offered up in the correct position for insertion into the skirt, the bevels bear one against the other and tend to close up the opening of the skirt.

Abstract: An electrical connection system includes a frame, a main printed circuit "mother board", a series of secondary printed circuit "daughter boards", and interconnecting spacers formed of an insulative material plate with holes in it into each of which is inserted a buffer that is a good conductor of electricity. The frame includes a support plate with series of slides, the mother board resting on the support plate and receiving the interconnecting spacer. The daughter boards are slid into the slides and include, along an edge which cooperates with the interconnecting spacer, a heel-piece on which is mounted and to which is fixed a flexible printed circuit the tracks of which are connected to those of the daughter board and cooperate with the buffers. Arrangements are provided to fix the daughter boards to the frame.
