    Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided that enables a telephone subscriber to automatically transfer ringing telephone calls from the subscriber's main published line to another line in the subscriber's telephone system without having to manually dial the sequence of the telephone company's pickup code, such as *8. The subscriber thereby has some of the conveniences of the rollover feature, but pays the telephone company only the relatively inexpensive cost of call pickup service.
