Patents Assigned to Connei S.p.A.
  • Patent number: 4840587
Abstract: The composite female contact (1, 4) adapted to receive a pin contact (6), is of the type in which, when the pin contact is not inserted, the areas intended to establish the electric contact with the pin contact upon insertion of same are arranged at least approximately according to a family of straight generatrices of a hyperboloid of revolution of one branch. The composite female contact comprises a proper elastic contact element consisting of a cylindrical sleeve (1) made of any suitable metal or metal alloy, provided with through slots (2) arranged on its cylindrical surface and inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of said sleeve, said sleeve being subjected to permanent deformation by twisting according to a predetermined angle and directed in the sense of inclination of the slots.

  • Patent number: 4840588
Abstract: The socket contact is of the type which, when the pin contact is not inserted, the areas of the socket contact intended to establish the contact with the pin contact (6) are arranged at least approximately according to a family of straight generatrices of a hyperboloid of revolution of one branch. The socket contact is obtained by means of permanent deformation by twisting through a predetermined angle of a cylindrical sleeve (1) of suitable metal, after having obtained, on the said sleeve, a plurality of slots (2) arranged equispaced on its cylindrical surface. The slots (2) present a lanceolate shape, with base (102) directed towards the annular zone (5) of the inlet end of the sleeve (1), while the apex (202) is directed towards the rear section of the sleeve (1).

  • Patent number: 4486068
Abstract: A pin member (1) for electrical connectors of the pin and socket type comprises a cylindrical hollow metal body provided with through slots (4) in the cylindrical surface thereof. The slots are inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the body. The body is permanently deformed by twisting it a predetermined amount in a direction opposite to the inclination of the slots (4), causing an outward expansion or bulging of strips defined (8) between adjacent slots to increase the outer diameter of the hollow cylindrical body at intermediate portions of the slots.

  • Patent number: 4447108
Abstract: The socket member for electrical connectors is obtained thanks to permanent deformation by twisting of a cylindrical sleeve of suitable metal, provided with through slots (2) arranged on its cylindrical surface and inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. Each slot, previously to its twisting deformation, presents a transverse profile with sides (102, 202) diverging towards the exterior, and said sides meet at the ends of the slot forming curvilinear edges (302, 402) in such a manner that the vertices of said edges located on the inner surface of the sleeve are nearer to each other with respect to the vertices of the edges located on the outer surface, which are farther from each other.
