The card holder 100 also has a camera housed within the holder 100, and the camera has a camera aperture 196 provided on the second side 150b of the slot 150. The corresponding identity card 170 comprises an optically transparent region 175 that is configured to overlie the camera aperture 196 when the identity card 170 is received in the slot 150 of the holder 100.

The remote devices are operated by lone workers who are exposed to hazardous environments. The method comprises receiving location data identifying a work location from a transmitting remote device, receiving hazard data relating to hazards in the vicinity of said work location, processing said hazard data to produce an assessment of risk, and conveying an indication of said assessment of risk to a receiving remote device.

Abstract: A system has a monitor attached to and monitoring sound and vision around the user and using cellular telephone communications to convey monitored information. The monitor calls a primary server which alerts a secondary server of call receipt. The secondary server calls the monitor which drops the call to the primary server after a predetermined time, and remains in contact with the secondary server only if the monitor has successfully received the call from the secondary server, thereby preventing introduction of a false monitor. The monitor has options alterable only when on a battery charging cradle. The monitor has amber and red alert modes involving further servers, providing means to monitor and record the sounds and vision. The monitor has satellite position reporting. The system employs cell phone inter base station signal strength interpolation to find the monitor's position. A vibration motor silently alerts the user to calls.
