Abstract: The present invention relates to a sustainable article for packaging which could be made substantially free of virgin petroleum-based compounds; in particular it relates to new packaging made from coloured post-consumer resin (PCR) having a high NIR absorption. A need remains to create a circular economy for coloured and/or black plastic by bringing the waste coloured and black plastic into new packaging while using Near infrared (NIR) detectable pigment in the colourant masterbatch. It is therefore an object of the present invention to bring the coloured or black plastic waste into new packaging. It has be found that a sustainable packaging in consumer acceptable black using NIR detectable pigment can be obtained by using a multilayer post-consumer resin, comprising a thinner outer layer of post-consumer resin of natural plastic waste (N-PCR); and a thicker inner layer comprising at least 50% coloured plastic waste (J-PCR).
Abstract: A laundry detergent composition comprising methyl ester ethoxylate surfactant wherein the methyl ester ethoxylate comprises monounsaturated C18 and wherein the weight proportion of monounsaturated C18 to other C18 components is from 2.9 to 7.0, and wherein the MEE comprises at least 5% of the MEE, C16 MEE, and a domestic method of treating a textile, the method comprising the step of treating a textile with an aqueous solution of 0.5 to 20 g/L of the detergent composition, and optionally drying the textile.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a stable composition wash composition. The wash composition comprises a mixture of naturally derived and biodegradable sulfated polysaccharides. The wash composition has a viscosity of 40,000 cps or less, and surprisingly, is free of syneresis, discoloration and malodor, even after being stored at elevated temperatures.

Abstract: A hair conditioning composition for improved deposition of benefit agents including a linear cationic conditioning surfactant, a linear fatty material, a particulate benefit agent, and a branched cationic co-surfactant. The composition includes 0.01 to 10 wt % of the linear, cationic conditioning surfactant, 0.1 to 10 wt % of the linear fatty material, and 0.01 to 5 wt %, at 100% active, of the branched cationic co-surfactant. The molar ratios of branched cationic co-surfactants to linear cationic conditioning surfactants are in the range of from 1:20 to 1:1.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hard surface cleaning composition. There is a need for improved cleaning compositions for providing antimicrobial benefit in addition to cleaning benefit. The inventors have found that an aqueous composition comprising 0.01 to 20% by weight alkene amide; 0.01 to 20% by weight glycol ether of formula (I): R1O(R2O)nR3; where: —R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; —R2 is ethyl or isopropyl; -n is 1, 2, 3; —R3 is hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; 0.1 to 50% by weight surfactant; and at least 10% by weight water, provides significant antimicrobial benefit.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an extruded soap bar composition. It more particularly relates to a soap bar composition which comprises specified type of sodium alumino silicate gel to produce soap bars with high water content that are not only easy to extrude but have the desired hardness.
Abstract: An improved snap-on/twist off closure which is very durable. The invention is also directed to a package comprising the closure, e.g., a bottle in combination with the closure. The closure includes an upper wall defining an opening and a cylindrical snap on pipe depending from the upper wall. The pipe includes threads designed to mate with external threads on a neck of the bottle. The threads on the pipe and threads on the neck of the bottle pass over each other when the closure is snapped onto the bottle during manufacture. The pipe includes a resistance recess and a guidance recess. The resistance recess and the guidance recess accommodate a forcing element on a shoulder of the bottle and permit unscrewing of the closure.
Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-phase personal care composition comprising an aqueous phase, and an oil phase comprising fatty ester and resorcinol derivative, wherein the weight ratio of the fatty ester to the resorcinol derivative is from 10:1 to 1000:1 and the aqueous phase is visually distinct from and in physical contact with the oil phase.
