Abstract: A machine dishwash detergent composition comprising: from 0.1 to 20 wt. % non-ionic surfactant; and from 0.5 to 40 wt. % of free acid equivalent of aminopolycarboxylate; and from 0.5 to 4.0 wt. % of free acid equivalent of tetra- to octa-carboxylic acid, wherein the molecular weight is at most 1000 g/mol; and wherein the tetra to octa-carboxylic acid is does not contain N and P atoms, nor contains cyclic moieties; and wherein the amount of phosphate is at most 1.0 wt. %; and wherein the amount of phosphonate is at most 1.0 wt. %.
