    Abstract: A novel synthesis of a chromium amino acid nicotinate complex which has glucose tolerance factor activity in which nicotinic acid is dissolved in an aqueous solvent, glycine, glutamic acid and cystine are added, chromium chloride is added and, after completion of the reaction, the pH is adjusted with a base and the reaction mixture freeze dried.
