Abstract: A personal proximity alert device and associated behavior modification system configured to monitor and/or detect a hand of a user or another person or object penetrating a personal protection zone around the facial area of the user and to alert users to such detected risks and/or to the presence of others approaching within a predetermined minimum socially safe distance to reduce the likelihood of accidentally transmitting viruses or other pathogens.
