    Abstract: A system for monitoring current and voltage from a power source or load at the tap wire connected to an overhead distribution power line, the distribution power line being spaced apart from the ground is provided. The system includes a current clamp sensor coupled to the tap wire and spaced apart from the distribution power line. A sensor is insulated body coupled to the current clamp, the sensor body being configured to simultaneously measure voltage on the overhead distribution power line and current of the tap wire prior to the distribution power line. A mounting assembly is provided that suspends the sensor from the distribution power line, the mounting assembly being coupled between the distribution power line and the current clamp.

    Abstract: A system and method for controlling electrical power in a multi-phase electrical service to a load is provided. The system includes an electric meter that determines when an electrical characteristic of a phase of a multi-phase electrical service is below a threshold. A first switch and second switch are coupled to the first phase and second phase respectively and disconnect the phases from a power source. A bridging switch is coupled between the phases, the bridging switch being arranged between the load and the first and second switches. A controller is coupled between the electric meter, the first switch, the second switch, and the bridging switch. The controller causes the first switch to open in response to the electrical characteristic of the first phase being below the threshold and causing the bridging switch to close when the first switch is opened.

The second housing includes a second coil on a first end and a third coil on an opposing end. The second and third coils configured to increase in temperature in response to the application of electrical current to fuse the second housing to the pipe. The fitting further includes a first seal coupled to the first housing and a second seal coupled to the second housing. The first and second seal forming a seal that prevents gas pressure from the pipe from interrupting the fusion process.

A controller is operably coupled to the sensor and the switch, the controller having a processor that initiates a timer in response to the signal and determines a measured reclose time with the timer. The processor is further responsive to actuate the switch in response to the measured reclose time is substantially equal to the reclose time of the at least one circuit interrupting device.

An exemplary control circuit may include a signaling device configured to provide a close signal for a circuit breaker to close; a timer configured to complete a countdown after the circuit breaker is opened; and a switch configured to close the circuit breaker after the countdown is complete and when the close signal is provided by the device. This may prevent engaging a piece of equipment with the power grid when the piece of equipment is out of phase or frequency with the power grid, which often leads to significant damage or destruction of the piece of equipment.
