Abstract: In a method for procuring goods and/or services, needs and procurement habits of a customer are determined. The needs include one or more budgetary spending thresholds, goals and/or constraints. A web site is hosted and operative with a program and a database. Data and information indicative of the customer's needs and habits is input into the database. A plurality of GUIs is presented, the GUIs being customizable by the customer. The GUIs include an order entry/shopping list GUI that the customer uses to place an order. As the order is processed costs of the order are accumulated at a customer defined level and compared to predetermined budgetary spending thresholds, goals and/or constraints. When the accumulated cost approaches, meets or exceeds one or more of the budgetary spending thresholds, goals and/or constraints, a notification message is generated to at least one person of interest.
Abstract: In a method for procuring goods, the need for particular goods and the procurement habits of a customer are determined. A web site is hosted and is operative with a software-based program and a content database. Data indicative of the customer's needs for particular goods is input into content database. A custom electronic order form is created using the program and the data stored in the content database, the order form being unique to the customer. The customer accesses the custom electronic order form via a web page on the website and places an order for goods by filling in the custom electronic order form. The order is processed and the goods shipped.
Abstract: A method for ordering goods through the Internet is presented. The method comprises determining the user's specific procurement process, e.g., by an inventory of the user's facility, by an audit of the user's procurement records and/or by querying the user's personnel involved with the procurement process. Once the procurement process is determined, data indicative of the procurement process is input into a content database. A web site is hosted, which is operative with the computer program and the content database, the web site being accessible via the internet through a communications device. An electronic order form is stored in the memory, the order form being unique to the user, and operative with the computer program and the content database, such that the order form lists goods that meet the requirements of the identified procurement process of the user.
