  • Patent number: 8361938
Abstract: An aqueous or oil-based mixture containing a non-toxic, low pH, antimicrobial, acidic composition having a pH between approximately 0.5 and approximately 3.5 with and without a proppant is used as a subterranean well stimulation additive. Without a proppant, the LpHAC stimulation additive is used for acidization. In another embodiment, with a proppant, the LpHAC stimulation fluid is used in hydraulic fracturing. As a well stimulation fluid, it involves the injection of specially engineered fluids and other materials into the well bore at rates that actually cause the cracking or fracturing of the reservoir formation to create fissures or cracks in the formation to increase fluid flow of underground resources from the reservoir into the well bore.

  • Publication number: 20120114764
Abstract: A produce wash is provided that significantly reduces the amount of chlorine used in treating produce and inhibits the growth of micro-organisms on pre-harvest and post-harvest produce. A method of using the produce wash extends the shelf life of harvested produce.

  • Patent number: 8012511
Abstract: A composition of matter and the method of making that provide a low pH acidic composition that is useful for destroying microorganisms that are undesirable and useful for destroying or reducing melanoma on human skin. The composition and method include a strong, low pH acid combined with distilled water and urea or an ammonium compound, such as ammonium sulfate or other metallic sulfates, including but not limited to, sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, and copper sulfate, under at least 15 psi pressure in pressurized container, all of which is heated to approximately 800° F. or more for at least 3 hours. The final cooled mixture is stabilized with 10 to 15 percent of the original mixture. The resultant composition is useful for preserving food, such as fresh fish, and for skin treatment of melanoma and as bactericides, fungicides, or viricides.

  • Patent number: 7964015
Abstract: An improved process and composition for the extraction of metal from a metal-laden ore, soil or rock is provided. A liquid, three-component aqueous lixiviant comprises water, an alkali metal salt and a low pH acidic composition. A four-component aqueous lixiviant comprises water, a low pH acidic composition, an alkali metal salt and an acid having a pH value less than 2. Both lixiviant compositions are efficient for extracting metal into a pregnant liquid solution. The pregnant solution is treated by known conventional means, such as filtration, centrifuging or electrolysis to remove the extracted metals. The three-component and four-component aqueous lixiviants of the present invention are non-toxic, meaning, not an irritant or deleterious to humans or the environment and perform, as well as, or better than known toxic cyanide lixiviants.
