Abstract: A system for monitoring conveyor belts is disclosed. The system includes a printed inductive antenna loop, a transmitter, a detector, and circuitry. The antenna is printed on and/or installed (inserted) into a conveyor belt. The transmitter is proximate the printed antenna and is configured to generate an electromagnetic field. The detector is configured to measure an induced electric field from the printed inductive antenna loop. The circuitry is configured to detect damage of the conveyor belt based on the measured induced electromagnetic field.

Abstract: Sulfur silane coupling agents for use in tire compositions used to formulate tires or tire components which contain multiple blocked mercapto groups which are in a state of reduced activity until activated. The coupling agents are advantageously used in rubber formulations, including tire compositions, for example, for fabricating tires with low rolling resistance.

Abstract: Self-pumping spring and damper unit (13) with automatically activated ride level control system for chassis of vehicles having a pump which is driven as a result of the distance between the articulation points (14, 15) which changes as a result of the spring compression and spring extension of the vehicle, wherein an elastic connecting element (35) is arranged between at least one pump part (33) and the associated articulation point (14) in such a way that it at least partially elastically compensates the distance between the pump parts (32, 33) which changes when the vehicle experiences spring compression and spring extension.
Abstract: A tire composition with a Shore A hardness, according to DIN 53 505 and ASTM D2240, of not less than 40 and not greater than 95 and a glass-transition temperature Tg (E?max), according to DIN 53 513 with a specified temperature sweep of ?80° C. to +80° C. and a specified compression of 10+0.2% at 10 Hz, not less than ?80° C. and not greater than 0° C., with improved abrasion performance, in particular for pneumatic tires, has the following composition: at least one vulcanizable diene rubber selected from natural rubbers, synthetic polyisoprene rubbers, polyisobutylene rubbers, polybutadiene rubbers (BR), and random styrene-butadiene rubbers; from 35 to 300 phr of at least one active filler selected from carbon blacks, silicas, silicon based fillers, and metal oxides, of which at least 10 phr must be carbon blacks, silicas, or some combination thereof; from 0 to 250 phr of other or further additives; from 0.

Abstract: A composition is provided for use with an unsaturated elastomer. The composition may include a sulfur-functional linear polyorganosiloxane. The sulfur-functional linear polyorganosiloxane may include a chemically protected sulfur group. Under certain conditions, the sulfur group may react with the unsaturated elastomer. The invention includes embodiments that may relate to methods of making and using the sulfur-functional linear polyorganosiloxane in elastomer compositions.

Abstract: A belt package for a pneumatic vehicle tire has at least two belt plies. The belt plies are built up in at least two sub-packages, which are automatically placed on a belt drum and automatically spliced independently of one another. The sub-packages are then joined together to form the complete belt package.
