  • Patent number: 8914210
Abstract: A device for generating an additional reset force on the gas pedal for motor vehicles, wherein a position change of the gas pedal relative to the initial position thereof, induced by a corresponding actuating force, against a reset force leads to an increase in the motive power of the engine and, when there is a decrease in the actuating force, a reset force moves the gas pedal back in the direction of the initial position thereof, and wherein an actuator is provided, which applies an additional reset force that acts in the reset direction of the gas pedal, and wherein the motor vehicle has a unit for determining the shifting point of a manually shifted transmission. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for operating the device according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 8544618
Abstract: A brake pad for a partially-lined disk brake and a method for making such a brake pad. The brake pad has a back plate, a friction lining arranged fixedly on a front side of the back plate and a damping plate provided on a rear side. At least one hook-shaped guide end adjoins a body region of the back plate in a circumferential direction. The guide end has an elevation with a material thickness D increased in relation to a material thickness d of the body region. At least one abutment face for tangential abutment in a circumferential direction is provided on the guide end and a support face is provided thereon for radial support in a radial direction. The damping plate has at least one bent-over bracket which rests against the radial support face in a bracket region of the back plate. The damping plate is offset axially to the rear relative to the bracket region in the body region of the back plate.

  • Patent number: 8452524
Abstract: A method is presented for recognizing traffic-related information (I) in a driving motor vehicle, in which sensor data (B) from a sensor and map data (K) from a navigation system are interpreted for recognition purposes, wherein the sensor data (B) is inspected in a first scene interpretation for the presence of traffic-related information (I) and is compacted to relevant sensor data (Br), the map data (K) is inspected in a second scene interpretation for the presence of traffic-related information (I) and is compacted to relevant map data (Kr), and the relevant sensor data (Br) and relevant map data (Kr) is fed to a regulator for interpreting the sensor and map data, wherein the regulator evaluates the sensor data (Br) and the map data (Kr) and then issues an output signal which corresponds to the evaluation.

  • Patent number: 8363211
Abstract: A sensor device for detecting a motion state of a motor vehicle. The sensor device includes at least one laser unit having a light source for emitting coherent light which is transmitted in the direction of a roadway surface, and an interference detector which is designed to detect at least one measurement variable which characterizes interference between the light scattered at the surface and the light of the light source. The measurement variable represents a speed component of the sensor device and/or a distance between the sensor device and the roadway surface. The laser unit is coupled to an evaluation device which is designed to determine, from the measurement variable, at least one variable which characterizes the motion state of the vehicle, in particular a speed component of the center of gravity of the vehicle, a rotational angle or a rotation rate of the vehicle.
