Abstract: A method for operating a brake installation of a vehicle. A first electrically controllable pressure provision device provides brake pressure for actuating hydraulically actuatable brakes. A first electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit, and a first pressure detection device, measures brake pressure provided by a primary brake system. A secondary brake system between the primary system and a part of the wheel brakes has a second electrically controllable pressure provision device provides brake pressure for actuating at least the part of the brakes. A second electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit, and at least one second pressure detection device, the signals of which are processed in the second electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit. The secondary system monitors the primary system based on signals from the second pressure detection device and on a predefined brake pressure demand to build up a brake pressure corresponding to the predefined brake pressure demand.

Abstract: A method for improving information security for vehicle-to-X communication, wherein the vehicle-to-X communication is protectable by at least one certificate, wherein the certificate for protecting the vehicle-to-X communication has a validity period of defined length and is provided for storage in a memory of a vehicle, wherein the method is additionally distinguished in that the vehicle uses a communication link for wireless data interchange between the vehicle and a backend system, before expiry of the validity period of the certificate and a change to a validity period of defined length for an updated certificate, to ask the backend system to provide an up-to-date piece of time information for the vehicle. In addition, the invention relates to a corresponding communication apparatus for vehicle-to-X communication.
Abstract: A brake-pressure control device for a motor-vehicle braking system, with an electric motor, the rotatory motion of which is transformed by a ball screw drive into a translatory motion of a piston in a working cylinder, in order to be able to build up a defined braking pressure in a wheel brake independently of actuation of a master brake cylinder. An aspect provides that the ball screw drive is provided with a friction slip coupling engaged over a profiled tube which is fixedly connected to a nut of the ball screw drive and to which the piston is fixed.

Abstract: A safety system brake system comprises a hydraulic pressure-providing device having a pressure chamber connected to at least one brake circuit by a separating valve and into which pressure chamber a piston is moved to build up pressure. The pressure chamber is a two-stage pressure chamber having first and second sub-chambers. During pressure build-up the piston is moved into the first and then the second sub-chamber. The two sub-chamber are hydraulically closed off from each other when the piston is moved a specified distance into the second sub-chamber. A first check valve is connected to the first sub-chamber on a suction side and to a brake fluid reservoir on a blocking side. A second check valve is connected to the second sub-chamber on a suction side, and to the suction side of the first check valve on the blocking side.
