Abstract: A belt or belt segment defines a longitudinal direction and includes a plurality of steel ropes arranged to be essentially mutually in parallel and to extend essentially in the longitudinal direction. The belt or belt segment has at least one open end whereat the steel ropes have respective rope segments extending outwardly therefrom. An attachment device is disposed at the open end and is attached to at least a portion of the rope segments via clamping.
Abstract: A conveyor belt includes first and second conveyor belt portions and each one of the conveyor belt portions includes top and bottom layers made of elastomer material. A reinforcement layer is sandwiched between the top and bottom layers and includes mutually parallel steel cords. Each conveyor belt portion further includes an end section whereat the top and bottom layers are removed to expose the steel cords. First and second part hinges are assigned to respective ones of the end sections and each includes a hinge plate having bores to accommodate the exposed steel cords. The hinge plates are pressed to fix the cords securely in position. The part hinges each include a plurality of crenellated projections at a free end thereof. The part hinges are assembleable to conjointly define a hinge connecting the first and second connecting belt portions to each other.
Abstract: An arrangement continuously and non-destructively monitors a conveyor system having a continuous conveyor belt with a carrying-side cover plate and a running-side cover plate, each made of a polymeric material with elastic properties. The arrangement further includes drums wherein the above-mentioned components form, in conjunction with the conveyor belt, a material-conveying top strand (A) and a material-conveying or material-free bottom strand (B). A conductor loop packet with continuous conductor loops is embedded in the conveyor belt. An electronic slit protection system contactlessly detects damage to the conveyor belt. The slit protection system is an electrical system including an interrogation station and a slit monitoring station and is connected to a central controller which controls the entire conveyor system. The arrangement is equipped, as part of a conductor loop packet, with sequential conductor loops and a sequential slit protection system.
Abstract: An annular baler for agricultural use includes at least one annular baler belt made of rubber or rubber-like materials with an embedded core defining a reinforcement. The annular baler belt has ventilation bores which are distributed in a regular or irregular pattern around the periphery thereof and extend through the annular baler belt.

Abstract: A conveyor belt includes first and second conveyor belt portions and each one of the conveyor bait portions includes top and bottom layers made of elastomer material, A reinforcement layer is sandwiched between the top and bottom layers and includes mutually parallel steel cords. First and second part hinges are assigned to respective ones of the end sections and each includes a hinge plate having bores to accommodate the exposed steel cords. Abstract: A conveyor belt with a reinforcement support layer consisting of steel cords running in parallel has, at each end, the hinge-like configuration for coupling to another belt end. In order also to provide a hinge connection for steel cord conveyor belts having relatively large cord diameters, each belt end (1, 2) has a part hinge (6, 7). Each part hinge (6 and 7) has a hinge bar (12 and 13) on which an integrated clamping plate (14 and 15) is integrally formed. The integrated clamping plate (14 and 15) is seated in the one belt outer surface (18) of the conveyor belt. On the opposite belt outer surface (22), a corresponding, separate clamping plate (24 and 27) is seated in each case in the rubber cover layer there. The clamping plate of each part hinge securely clamps the corresponding thickness-reduced belt end therebetween.
Abstract: A conveyor belt (2) includes a reinforcement (4) built up of at least one reinforcement layer (4a, . . . ) which includes fabric or cord and cover plates (8a, 8b) can be arranged on the carrier side and/or running side with the cover plates being made of elastomer or a rubber mixture. In order to prevent baking-on and dirtying during transport of the different goods, especially mass goods, the conveyor belt (2) is provided with a practice-proven durable and permanent anti-adhering surface. A plastic coating (10) is applied to the conveyor belt (2) on the carrier side and is an anti-adhering coating. The plastic coating (10) preferably is made of ultra high molecular polyethylene. The polyethylene foil (10) can be vulcanized to the carrier side cover plate (8a) or, in lieu of the carrier side cover plate (8a), the polyethylene foil can be vulcanized directly to the reinforcement (4) comprising at least one rubberized reinforcement layer (4a, . . . ).

Abstract: The invention relates to a belt, strap, conveyor belt (20) having a support fabric (2) in which at least one electrically conductive loop (4) is embedded. The conductive loop is sewn onto the support fabric (2), so that even conveyor belts (20) which have an extremely thin cover layer (22) can be provided with conductive loops.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for monitoring a layer (8), which is subjected to wear, of a composite structure (2) and relates especially to a system for monitoring the cover layer (8) of a conveyor belt (2). The monitoring system includes a transmitter/receiver device (4) which continuously generates an electromagnetic field. A ferromagnetic layer (16) of high permeability is embedded in the cover layer (8) and shields a transponder (6), which is embedded in the conveyor belt (2), from the electromagnetic field as long as it is not damaged by wear. The transmitter/receiver device (4) recognizes the wear of the cover layer (8) in that it receives data from the transponder (6) because, in this case, the ferromagnetic layer (16) is damaged over a large area. The invention also relates to a method for monitoring a composite structure (2) having a layer (8) subjected to wear. The invention relates especially to a method for monitoring the cover layer (8) of a conveyor belt (2).
Abstract: A large-area rubber molded piece (31) is produced by vulcanization in a heatable plate molding press. The rubber molded piece is provided with a plurality of projections (32) on its lower side and the press includes a plurality of mold cavities (14). An open mesh fabric (15) is placed on the mold cavities (14) for venting and covers all of the mold cavities. A plate of green rubber (17) is then placed upon the fabric (15). When the heatable plate molding press is closed and heated, the fabric (15) is penetrated by the plasticized green rubber and each mold cavity (14) is vented via the fabric. The fabric (15) is embedded in the rubber molded piece and becomes a part thereof.
Abstract: A laminated composite body, in particular a conveyor belt, consists of a carcass (2, 2', 2") that determines the mechanical stability of the laminated composite body, and at least one cover (1, 1') made of rubber, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and/or plastics that are highly resistant to mechanical damages such as notches, cuts, or the like. In order to improve the resistance of the laminated composite body, the cover (1) is made of at least two layers (10, 11, 12) with different properties that are interconnected so as to form a clear phase limit.
